Get behind the wheel of a race prepared Mini Cooper S and find out why these sporty little cars are loved by so many. Your experience begins with a briefing from a qualified instructor who will talk you through racing lines, techniques and how to best handle the car out on the track. Then you'll be driven around the circuit in a sports saloon for two demonstration and familiarisation laps, before putting the theory into practice by taking the driving seat of the Mini Cooper S yourself for six miles. To round it all off, your instructor will take you for the ride of your life at competition speed in a hot hatch to show you how the professionals do it. Conclude your experience with a question and answer session and certificate presentation.

Fantastic Day I Will Never Forget!

This was fantastic and I would recommend it to anyone! I already own a MINI Cooper so I my partner decided to treat me to a track day in an 'S'. The instructor was really helpful and friendly and is really keen to get you to chuck the MINI into the corners - so much fun! The handling is just brilliant; I was actually overtaking the Ferraris and Porsches!! I then had a high speed passenger ride in a Lotus Elise which was a complete surprise and was just incredible, I was laughing so much the whole way round the track because we were going unbelievably fast!! All the staff are so friendly, which in my opinion does help make it a great day out! I'm definitely going back!

Easy to find the circuit I chose. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Fantastic Day

I had the most fantastic day. I went thinking 'How hard can racing be?' I quickly learnt that racing is very much harder than normal driving. The instructor was really good at getting me to trust the car. I will now be saving up for the F1 experience!

More information

Participant Guidelines: Min age 18, max weight 18 stone. Minimum height is 5'0'', maximum is 6'4''. You must have held a full, current and valid British or international manual driving licence for at least 12 months, which you will be required to produce on the day.

Weather: Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. snow, ice, heavy rain or high winds) which would make driving at speed dangerous. We suggest you call the venue if in any doubt.

Duration: Expect to be at the circuit for around an hour and a half, including your briefing and ten minutes driving the Mini. Please arrive 15 minutes in advance of your booked time to ensure a prompt start.

Numbers On Day: All in-car tuition is on a one-to-one basis. Briefings are held in groups of up to thirty people.

Spectators: Spectators are welcome and there are cafe/clubhouse facilities on site. Please note that animals are not allowed at the circuit (with the exception of guide dogs).

Dress Code: Dress comfortably (e.g. jeans and sweatshirt), avoiding nylon clothing and wear trainers or flat-soled shoes. A helmet will be provided.

Availability: Saturdays once a month throughout the year.

Other Info: The race circuit is MSA approved for quality and safety, was established in 1978 and is a founder member of The Association of Racing Drivers' Schools with all instructors being ARDS qualified.
