Red Letter Days launches first TV advertising campaign in the run up to Christmas

25 November 2011

Gift experiences company redletterdays.co.uk has launched its first creative across UK digital television as part of its 'Nothing says 'thank you' like Red Letter Days' campaign.

The new creative by Quiet Storm illustrates the feel good factor generated by receiving (and ultimately enjoying) a Red Letter Day this Christmas as a gift, using footage of real people enjoying the brand's Indoor Skydiving, Spa Day and Rally Driving experiences.

The 30 second spots will run across a number of UK digital and satellite and television stations with media planning and buying handled by MNC. The ad will be used to reinforce redletterdays.co.uk's success in the UK and will carry the line; 'Nothing says 'amazing, brilliant, thank you' like Red Letter Days.'

Nick Button, Marketing Director, Red Letter Days, said: "This campaign aims to capture that wonderful feeling you can guarantee someone when you give them a Red Letter Days gift – the euphoria of indoor skydiving, the relaxation of a spa day or the exhilaration of Rally Driving, as illustrated in the ad. As a brand, we're all about feeling good and making the most of right now so we wanted to bring that philosophy to life and we think the ad does that, as well as showing the extensive range of experiences we offer. In the current economic climate we are all living through, what could be better than gifting someone a day away from it all?"

Trevor Robinson, Creative Director Quiet Storm added: "This campaign is about getting to the heart of the Red Letter Days brand and the various feelings their gifts can give to people, from the gentle stress release of a spa day right through to the heart-pumping fun of speeding around a rally driving circuit. The new campaign brings those reactions to life using real people rather than actors which means what you are seeing is completely natural and spontaneous."

The brand will also launch its Christmas radio campaign on Magic 105.4 and Kiss, continuing its successful partnership with the Bauer Media stations.
