  • About

Rediscover your sense of adventure - and what it's like to be soaked to the skin! Canyoning is a truly all-round adventure experience, following a natural water course through a precipitous canyon. To start off with you'll have a safety briefing with your instructor and get kitted out with the right equipment. Then after a short walk to the top of the beautiful Allt' a Bhealaich Gorge, you'll follow the natural water course down through the gorge, descending waterfalls, sliding down natural water flumes, scrambling down gorges and jumping into deep, clear rock pools. In some sections you'll use harnesses and ropes to get down, all safely controlled by your instructor. This is a challenging, exciting and very physical experience and you might get a few bumps along the way, but there's a path running along the length of the canyon, so no part of the descent is compulsory - you can always take the path instead.

    • Follow a natural water course down a beautiful Scottish gorge
    • Descend waterfalls, slide down water flumes and throw yourself into rock pools
    • Scramble down some sections using ropes and harnesses
    • All equipment included - just bring your sense of adventure

Was really great fun, exciting but not too scary for a beginner. Going down the waterfall was an amazing experience. Lovely instructor.

My two friends and I like to do try things we have never done before. Canyoning just happened to be next on the list. It took us all way out of our comfort zones, yet we never once felt unsafe. The guide was encouraging and reassuring and made it all look so easy. I loved the abseil down the waterfall and the plunges into rockpools. I was unable to do the very highest plunge because I did not have my contact lenses with me and couldn't see where I was jumping, (actually, the truth is because I was scared, the lenses story was my brilliant excuse), but it was totally fine to bypass any of the course that you felt unable to do and watch and shout encouragement to the others. There are plenty of thrills for all levels of scaredy-cat. It was truly one of the best, if not the very best, adventure I have ever done.

The instructors were excellent and went through the safety talk and made sure we understood the format of the day. Both instructors were very funny and put us all at ease. We got our wetsuits/helmets on and we split into 2 groups of 7. Our group started with a lowered descent over a waterfall using ropes controlled by our instuctor. Very exhilarating! We then moved to our first pool jump which was fairly easy - each jump (about 5 I think) got progressively higher. The pool jumps were my favourite - you gain confidence with each jump and the water is cold but very clean. Between each jump we gorge walked though the water and slid down natural water flumes. A wonderful day!!

    Awesome Time...
