We had a great time on the boat. I liked the views, the food and the lemonade. I reckon the singer was almost as good as my Dad! Sam (aged 8)
Fantastic London Adventure
What a fantastic way to view the riverside sights of London on a chilly weekend. A lovely meal and great jazz created an excellent ambience to enjoy the cruise down the Thames. The food was excellent, the music great and the service even better. An experience we would recommend to all who visit London.
Really Lovely Afternoon Out
My husband and I loved the river cruise, which I had been bought as a 30th birthday present. We had a great time and it was nice to see the sights of London from a different angle. We'd definitely recommend it to others.
I would certainly recommend this cruise. On one of the coldest days of the year, everything was perfect. The boat was warm and the food and service was excellent.
Wonderful Way To Spend An Afternoon
A crisp winter's day, smooth jazz and great food. It was a lovely date and a perfect start to December! The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was very good and well presented, and the atmosphere was relaxing. A very mellow afternoon - we are already making plans to go again!
This was, without a doubt, one of the best things I have done for a long time. Beautiful day, lovely food, stunning sights and a superb atmosphere.
A Voyage To A Truly Romantic Era
I have to recommend this wonderful experience to anyone and everyone. The journey, staff, music, food and sights were absolutely the right combination to celebrate a memorable occasion. Thank you so much!!
A rainy November, dull day and we had to get the exceptionally busy train to London. Off at Embankment train station and a few sodden steps into the dry and comfort of the floating room next to the boat. Two smiling reps soon cheered us up with kind words. Once on the boat, at our table, the jazz cruise began. A leisurely cruise down the Thames, good food and toe-tapping music, soon the memories of the rain began to disappear. Two glasses of wine later, with clearing skies and interesting views the earlier part of the day was a distant memory. We finished the cruise wanting more. That can't be a bad thing! With renewed energy in our step, we walked to Covent Garden to watch some street entertainment and along Oxford street to absorb the autumn atmosphere. On the train home we looked through the numerous photographs taken on the boat. We reflected on a fantastic, enjoyable day. One to do again next year perhaps? Certainly one to recommend to friends. Thank you!
A Red Letter Day That Exceeded All Expectations
What a combination; the lovely company of my wife, excellent live music, a delicious three course meal, friendly service and spectacular views. What more could one ask for. Well I did! I made a request of the band to perform 'Misty' by Erroll Garner. They responded with a sensitive performance and a romantic moment for me as I held my wife's hand - still crazy and so much in love after.......number of years!
Very Enjoyable And Classy
My daughter treated my husband and I to this cruise - we had the most enjoyable and classy time of it - time together to wine and dine and be looked after whilst at the same time taking in some of the very best views of London from the river at a gentle pace ... superbly memorable day - highlights were the jazz ensemble on board, the delicious lunch, the relaxed atmosphere and the tremendous views all around. London looked superb and the trip was well worth the effort of travelling up to town from Shropshire for the experience! We are thinking of bringing some friends along next time for the evening trip.
What A Wonderful Experience
My wife and I would like to thank everybody on board for treating us so well, the food was fantastic and the setting was just so beautiful, who could ask for more, fantastic sights and relaxing time listening to the on board entertainment. This is something I would do again but perhaps next time do an evening cruise just to say we have experienced both day and night sights.
Super Way To Spend A Sunday Afternoon
I took my husband on the Jazz Cruise Lunch and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The music created a very relaxing environment and coupled with the great scenery, couldn't think of a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon. We would thoroughly recommend it and are even now thinking of inviting a group of friends to partake of the Dinner/Dance Evening Cruise. What better recommendation than that?
This trip was a xmas pressie from my husband and we booked it for May for better weather and better weather we had! It was lovely, the sun was out, the jazz band was playing and the service was excellent. The food was very nice and well presented, I would recommend this for anyone, it was a beautiful experience and easy - didn't have to do a thing except turn up. 10/10 from me!!!
Wonderful Wedding Anniversary Gift
The staff were exceptional from the minute we stepped into the reception to the time we left the boat. We were on the Signature boat so we were treated to a beautiful trip on the Thames in a glass boat, enjoying all the wonderful sights of London. The band and singer were fantastic and the food was very good. I would recomend this trip to anyone of any age and we will be coming back for more for our 26th Wedding Anniversary.
Great Views, Great Food, Great Music, Great Day!
I have been to London more times than I can count, but I have never seen it look so beautiful. The food was amazing, as were the band, the only downside was that it had to end, thanks for a wonderful day!
Eat With Style On The Thames
For an excellent two and a half hour Sunday lunch you could do no better than take a trip on the Symphony Floating Restaurant down the Thames. Indulging in a three course lunch, views of many sites and being serenaded by a four man jazz band the experience is one to remember for many a day. Starting opposite the London Eye, you travel down the Thames for just over an hour passing many of the well known landmarks before turning around by the London Bridge to see many landmarks on the other bank. For a very reasonable cost this is one of the best trips you will experience on the Thames. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed.
Fantastic Way To Celebrate Our Birthdays
What a lovely way to see the sights of London. The food was excellent and the jazz music fantastic. We were celebrating birthdays, and couldn't have had a nicer way to spend our special day. Thank you.
Wonderful Views, Lovely Cheerful Staff And Band
We had a lovely time, our waiter was particularly helpful. The band and music were great, and the trip was smooth just like the music. The food was good and beautifully presented.
Amazing day, excellent food, beautiful weather and wonderful band with a large repertoire to accompany lunch. The afternoon certainly exceeded my expectations. Would highly recommend this (especially for a special occasion) fabulous experience.
A Very Romantic And Relaxing Way To Take In London
We were bought this experience as a wedding present. Deciding to save the experience until December, we enjoyed the Christmas flavour to the experience with an enjoyable dinner, a seasonal live singer and the sights of London on a crisp, sunny winter's day from the comfort of the cruise. The London Thames water line has so many sights to savour and seeing them this way was fabulous!
The Red Letter Day was a gift from my son as a birthday present and he shared the afternoon with me. The weather was beautiful, a crisp sunny day. It was a brilliant afternoon. The three course meal and service were excellent. It is some years since I had cruised the Thames and this was such a lovely relaxing leisurely way to view the many interesting buildings, bridges and other vessels travelling along the Thames. The band were great and were joined by a accomplished singer who sang Christmas songs and it really began to feel like Christmas. The staff were all polite, helpful and courteous - what a delight!
This was a present from our daughters. We were early and I had visions of waiting on a cold embankment until we would be allowed to board. However, there was a modern, warm waiting area where we were greeted by a very pleasant member of staff until it was time to board. The boat was very impressive, the food was delicious, served by extremely friendly staff and the whole ambience of the afternoon made it a truly wonderful experience.
Brilliant, Great Value For Money
Wonderful value for money, brilliant food and service, great laid back jazz and stunning views. Will recommend it to all my friends.
Wonderful 25 Year Wedding Anniversary Present!!
Best present I have ever received, as a surprise present from our daughter, we truly had a lovely day. We would recommend to anyone of all ages, at any time of the year, for any occasion. Many thanks to everyone involved.
The Cruise Made Our Weekend
We had a lovely day, the staff could not do enough for us, our waiter was very attentive. The food was really nice and hot. The cruise down the Thames was very interesting, and we saw a great deal of London while we were enjoying good food and wine, and the music was really nice and relaxing. We have already recommended it to all our friends and family, and we will be booking another one very soon. Thanks for everything, we had a great time.
Hi, I am from the Czech Republic. My husband and I had been looking forward to this Red Letter Day and I'm glad to say we weren't disappointed. We had a wonderful Sunday lunch made delightful with the jazz music playing in the back ground as we saw iconic landmarks and the amazing architecture as the boat slowly cruised down the river Thames. The food and service were excellent. Thank you very much for a memorable experience!
Forget The Credit Crunch! Fabulous Chill-out Day
Great food, wonderful service and a terrific jazz band made this a day to remember for myself and my wife.
A Wonderful Way To Celebrate Our Ruby Wedding
After 40 years of marriage it's hard to think of what to give as a gift; our daughter came up trumps with this Red Letter Day out. We had a very memorable time with good food, good music and wonderful views. We were made to feel important. We can certainly recommend this trip to young and old alike, there is something for everyone. What more could you wish for than to go "Sailing down the river on a Sunday Afternoon".
A Truly Memorable Sunday Lunch On The Thames!
This was a belated Xmas present and frankly socks, slippers and silly boxer shorts just don't compete with lunch, jazz and extraordinary views on the Thames! The food and service were excellent. Given the cost of a Thames cruise alone offered by other companies the lunch, jazz and cruise package was great value for money.
Everything About The Experience Was Fantastic
My wife Sheila and I had been looking forward to this day since January when I received the Red Letter Day voucher from my children for my 65th. Sheila was 65 in August so we left it to make a double celebration. Everything about the experience was fantastic, our reception on board, our table location, the meal, the music and the friendly and efficient service. The special birthday celebration was much appreciated. Even the weather helped as thunderstorms were expected but a pleasant day with light showers meant that we were able to see all the sights. Thank you for a memorable experience.
Both myself and my boyfriend found this such a pleasurable experience. Not only were we travelling on the River Thames, which is a great experience within itself getting to enjoy the amazing views, but we also enjoyed dining with the accompaniment of live jazz music! The staff onboard were polite and friendly and the jazz music was really good. We both enjoyed looking out onto the Thames as we stood on the boat's deck, this offered us amazing views of London and plenty of opportunities to take photos. I would do this again.
The food on the cruise was fantastic and the jazz band really set the scene. We were looked after from start to finish and would recommend the trip to anyone! It was also really nice to get a text in the morning from Red Letter Days to wish us well on the trip.
A Great Way To Spend A Sunday Afternoon
My husband and I were given the trip as a present and we thoroughly enjoyed it! The service was friendly and efficient and the jazz band excellent. Really nice, happy atmosphere. Lovely to see London from a different perspective. Would definitely recommend the Sunday Lunch Jazz Cruise and would now like to do the evening dinner trip.
What Summer Days Are Made For!
Nothing better than to have Sunday Lunch whilst cruising down the Thames. Great food, great views whilst serenaded by a live Jazz Band ... just what summer days are made for!!
Super Way To Spend A Sunday
We had a great time, wasn't sure what to expect but it was superb. Food was very good and service was very efficient. Cruise up and down the river was very enjoyable and we went further than we thought. The band was very good, not so loud that you couldn't hear yourself talk. All in all a super way to spend a Sunday.
A Great Way To Celebrate A Birthday
When my wife and I saw that we had three Masters (Captains) on board, we really felt that we were in very safe hands. The boat was very comfortable, the food was of excellent quality and nicely presented and the Stewards friendly and helpful. This was my second Red Letter Day Gift in celebration of my 80th birthday; the first being a Hot Air Balloon Trip. My Red Letter Days photo album is full of happy memories - thank you.
Better than we could have imagined
The boat was fantastic, the staff were more than attentive, the food was superb, the music sublime - the day was better than we could ever have imagined.
From boarding at The Embankment Pier everything was excellent, it was a wonderful experience and a fitting conclusion to my 60th birthday celebrations.
