  • About

Board Bateaux London's river cruiser from the glass pontoon at Embankment Pier, then relax on board and enjoy a three-course lunch, followed by tea or coffee. But don't let the great food distract from the fabulous views available on Thames cruises, as the boat passes the Houses of Parliament, the Tower of London and many more iconic landmarks. After lunch (from a seasonally changing menu) be dropped off just a few steps from the EDF Energy London Eye. There may be a queue here, but it'll be worth it on climbing aboard the air-conditioned capsule. The Eye slowly turns, giving sensational panoramic views across London from 135 metres up. This experience is for two but is also available for one (BATTO) or for four (BATTD).

    • Lunch (of British based cuisine) on board a stylish Thames river cruiser
    • Incredible views of riverside buildings and famous landmarks
    • See the Houses of Parliament, Shakespeare’s Globe, Tower Bridge and more
    • Then step aboard the London Eye for a bird's-eye view of London

My Husband Really Enjoyed His Birthday

    Lynnette A, 27 Apr 2012

We both enjoyed the day out, my husband being very sceptical about birthdays really had a good time, The meal on the boat was very good but being smokers we were reluctant to throw the finished product into the Thames but had no where else to put them (that was while waiting to board). So ashtrays could be dotted around. The London Eye was amazing and I know my husband enjoyed the whole trip and had a brilliant day. Thank You

Good Day Out Shame About The Weather

Delayed train, traffic jams & pouring rain made the journey to the pier exciting instead of arriving with time to spare we only just made it. Service from the staff on board was first class which made for a very enjoyable cruise & meal.

    Excellent......a Great Birthday Treat.

We both enjoyed the experience enormously. The weather could have been better, but it didn't spoil the day. The cruise was amaizingly smooth and the food was great. We would certainly recommend it to anyone.

The day went very quickly. A very relaxing meal and a trip on the eye. Pity you could not arrange the weather aswell!! The 3 course meal with coffee was tasty and served by pleasent staff. After a short wait to cross the river between showers the queue at the Eye was fairly long but moving and only took 10 minutes before we were on in the capsule. My wife suffers from slight vertigo, but as the Eye moves very slowly she did not have any problems even at the top. The views were amazing.

A Londoner As A Tourist For The Day!

When you have lived in and around London for most of your life it is very easy to forgot what a wonderful city we have. The cruise was an excellent opportunity, in great comfort, to see from the river, parts particularly of the re-building of the docklands area. An amazing selection of buildings, renovated without losing their original character. Plus , of course, historical landmarks such as Tower of London, Big Ben, House of Parliament and many others. The cruise was made all the more pleasant by an excellent lunch, in superb surroundings with attentive service. The visit ended with a ride on The London Eye. The panoramic views are not to be missed. Helped by beautiful weather, this was very definitely a day for my friend and I to remember for a long time.

A Wonderful Way To Spend A Very Sunny Afternoon.

From the moment we located you along the Embankment everything was pleasant and efficient, from the booking-in procedure through to getting on board and being met by your staff and shown to our allocated table. The food and the service was very good.

Very very enjoyable - I loved the contrast between being low on the River then high on the Eye - two totally different perspectives of London

    Great Fun.

Well done Red Letter Days. This was a wonderful trip which i would recommend anybody to do. It does not have to be for an anniversary etc, just do it for the experience with a partner or friends, would be fun whoever you go with.

Simply wonderful way to spend my weekend. This gift experence was brought for me as a Christmas present by my partner. It was such an amazing day we had to spend together. It started with the Cruise lunch on the Thames, we got greeted by professional, friendly staff which really made me feel really special. The food was something else, never eaten such a wonderful lunch time meal and the London eye was the perfect ending letting lunch go down while absorbing the breath taking views. Thank you Red letter days for making this happen.

My husband last went on a Thames trip when he was 10 years old, so as he is now 60 we decided he had waited long enough for another one. He enjoyed it so much that he woke up in the night talking about it! Thank you for making his day so wonderful, he has had a difficult time lately and this really helped to put him 'back on track'.

    Brilliant!

    Nicky F, 11 Feb 2012

The cruise was amazing and we had a brilliant time the food was just the right amount and was delicious! The reason I give it four stars is because we didn't board on time it says boarding at 12 but it was actually 12.30 so it was a bit of a wait and the dress code is not smart casual it's wear whatever you want it was very romantic though I will be definitely going again the London eye was amazing as well no complaints there recommend it to everyone! Oh yea the service was great as well on the cruise

A Pleasant Afternoon On The River

    Barry A, 11 Feb 2012

The river cruise and London eye experience provided an ideal opportunity to see the sights of London even on a cold February afternoon. Setting out from the Embankment pier the cruise we were treated to a nice lunch with commentary on the landmarks and history along the river bank from the Houses of Parliament to the Canary Wharf. Then across the river and after a short wait in the queue we were able to look further afield from the pod on the London eye. All in All a pleasant afternoon on the river.
