  • About

Experience the best of both worlds with a relaxing, scenic lunch along the Thames, topped off with incredible views of the capital from the EDF Energy London Eye. You'll board Bateaux London's river cruiser from the glass pontoon at Embankment Pier, before tucking into a three-course lunch, followed by tea or coffee. During the cruise, you'll pass many acclaimed London landmarks such as the Tower of London and the Houses of Parliament. After lunch, you'll disembark just a stone's throw from the London Eye. You may have to queue for a little while, but once you climb aboard your air-conditioned capsule and slowly ascend, the superb panoramic views will blow you away. This experience is for one but is also available for two (BATTC) or four (BATTD).

    • Lunch (British based cuisine) aboard a stylish Thames river cruiser
    • Incredible views of riverside buildings and famous landmarks
    • See the Houses of Parliament, Shakespeare’s Globe, Tower Bridge, Tate Modern and the EDF Energy London Eye from a unique perspective
    • Then step aboard the London Eye for a bird's-eye view of London
    • If you wish, you can choose to travel on the London Eye at a later date (check expiry on ticket)

Wonderful Experience, A Must For Everyone

My husband had always wanted to go on the London Eye ... as I was scared of heights I had put it off. This was an ideal way - a lovely calm trip on the Thames with fantastic food and service with a drop of wine for Dutch courage. The trip on the Eye was well worth the wait. Although I was apprehensive, there was no rocking or big movements that it felt so serene, and I was even able to go to the window to take photos. I am so glad I got this opportunity, it made the day and in fact was the highlight. Thanks Red Letter Days for a wonderful experience.

I have been on a number of your trips. I have enjoyed them all, but I think this topped the lot. Much more than I expected. Keep it up.

I have been on many similar excursions to this whilst in Europe but in my personal opinion this takes some beating! The food was very good and the service was excellent, I would highly recommend it.

The cruise was just excellent. I liked the surroundings on the boat, the symphonic music and very tasty food. The cruise staff were very professional and helpful. Thank you very much for a fantastic day. We really enjoyed it.

The Red Letter Day was a gift and I did not expect such a 'touristy' thing to be so well organised, hassle free, and a delight in every respect. Congratulations to all concerned!

We had an excellent day. Perfect from start to finish. It's a shame that you can't influence the weather but from the way the trip was organised I'm surprised that you can't do that as well! Many thanks and we will be using you again.

    Enjoyable day

My husband is coeliac, and none of the normal menu was suitable for him - but I needn't have worried. Alternative food had all been arranged, and he was able to enjoy his meal.

It was a bit disappointing not to be able to choose food. However food was not the main part of this trip. It would have been nice to get a bit more guiding commentary. I think it was rather restricted, especially for people who are not familiar with London's landmarks that well. Overall it was a lovely way to spend Saturday afternoon.

    Fantastic day

I received a Red Letter Day for Xmas from my brother and his girlfriend. I chose this experience for 2 reasons - I wanted to do something I would never do again and to conquer my fears, I am petrified of water and don't like heights, but I had such a good day I would definitely do it again!

We were given this gift by my son and daughter in law for Christmas and we made it a weekend treat. We both really enjoyed ourselves and we were impressed by the staff's professionalism and it has made the winter shorter.
