Finding the perfect jewellery to match an outfit can be a nightmare. You are almost guaranteed that everything you see will be the wrong length, the wrong colour beads, too shiny - what is a girl to do? Where on earth do the likes of Kate Moss and Kylie find the funky beads and crystals that seem to complement the style guru image you are after? Well they enlist the likes of Claire Aristides to help them catch your eye and with this experience you'll get to spend a day with the style queen herself, learning how to create your own fabulous jewellery. From crimping to wiring (don't worry, Claire will explain all the funny words on the day!), attaching clasps, dying metal and working with different components, you will be assisted from design concept to creation. Any jewellery you make on the day is yours to take home and averages a value of thirty five pounds. You'll also receive a special Red Letter Days gift from Claire to help you in your new guise as jewellery designer!

A great new hobby

Booking the day was extremely easy once I had made up my mind and I was notified by e-mail and in writing of the details of my booking. I had a fantastic day at the jewellery workshop. Claire and her team were lovely, really friendly and helpful. Working with the beautiful beads was very therapeutic and even though a complete beginner, I came home with lovely earrings, bracelet and necklace that I had made myself. I am now totally hooked on a great new hobby.

Key Info

Availability: Several weekend dates (mostly Saturdays) per month.

Participant Guidelines: Minimum age 16.

Duration: Please arrive for a prompt start at 11am. Your experience ends at 5.30pm.

Numbers On Day: Claire and her design team run the workshop, with up to ten participants.

Spectators: Only paying participants may attend this exclusive experience.

Other Info: Please feel free to bring any pictures you have seen of jewellery you would like to re-create, as well as any well-loved beads, brooches etc and Claire will help you achieve a similar look. A salad and sandwich lunch is included.
