We were well looked after. Had a very good meal, even offered a cork if we did not finish all the wine. Came home with a bottle of their best wine & four glasses.
Truly Wonderful Day Out

My husband and myself spent a most enjoyable day yesterday at the Denbies Winery at Dorking. We were met by extremely pleasant staff and our first experience was to watch a panoramic film showing the history of the winery. We then went on a rail ride through the cellars and ended up tasting some lovely wine. We were then off to the restaurant at the top of the building with wonderful views of the estate, to enjoy a splendid lunch with a bottle of superb Denby wine. Following that we were taken on a tour of the estate by another train affair being pulled along by a Land Rover. This too was very pleasant. After our day at the winery we were each given a bottle of bubbly and book detailing the history of the winery. Altogether a truly memorable day out.

We were so lucky the sun shone and the scenery was spectacular. The wines were excellent, the staff very knowledgeable and helpful. The lunch was superb. My wife will treasure the memory as this was a gift for our 40th Wedding Anniversary.

Unforgettable 25Th Wedding Anniversary Present

Our children treated us to the Vineyard Tour for our 25th Wedding Anniversary present and what a lovely present it was. From the time we arrived at the Vineyard the sun was shining for us which was such an added bonus. We were shown a film on the history of the Vineyard which gave us an insight in to its history. We then had a guided tour of the wine cellars by a lovely gently spoken lady who certainly excelled at her position in the Vineyard. After the visit to the wine cellars we had a delicious meal in the third floor restaurant which had stunning 360 degree views across the Vineyard and Boxhill, served by a very cheery waitress. We then went on a ride through the Vineyard to see where the winemaking begins its journey. Again beautiful views from the top of the Vineyard. We would recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys wine.

My thoroughly enjoyable day was enhanced by the association of Red Letter Days to it, providing an experience that going on one's own would not have given.
