Great Tour, Well Worth The Money
Great way to see the history of rock in London, very informative guide, small group kept it nice and friendly, saw places connected with music that we could have walked past several times and never realised the connection with rock history.
Rockin' Experience For All!
What Chicago Mike doesn't know about London's rock scene of the past isn't worth knowing! You don't even need to have been there first time around to get a sense of what it was all about. A great Father's Day gift for a couple who love music of any kind. Our highlights would have to be learning about the final hours of Jimi Hendrix and seeing Def Leppard's Steve Clark's house - a very sad story, as so many seem to be. And of course, walking in the footsteps of the mighty Beatles on Abbey Road - something never to be forgotten.
Great Trip, Loads Of Varied Information
Really enjoyable afternoon, Ian the guide was excellent - almost information overload - and nothing too much trouble. The fact that the information covered everything from rock and roll to Brit pop was a bonus and would appeal to all ages, great experience.
It was great to learn so much about London's musical history and see many places of interest, including some hidden secrets. We saw many areas of London we had never visited before and will definitely pay a visit back some day. Our guide was highly informative and kept the tour packed with nostalgia with facts all set to the soundtrack of the music of London's legends, including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton, Queen and many others. Crossing the infamous Abbey Road crossing was a moving experience and we will take some great memories from the day.
Great tour guide. I had just landed from NY and had had 2 hours sleep. Thought I was going to suffer, but the charisma of the tour guide picked me up and I had a really enjoyable day.
Excellent - Great Fun And Very Cool!
We really enjoyed this tour - Mike our guide was terrific and full of fabulous stories - I was seriously impressed with the wide scope of places he took us to and as a rock fan and someone who has worked in the music industry I was kept enthralled and informed for the whole 4 hours - will be recommending it to other people and would do it again. Thanks a lot!
'A Magical Mystery Tour' For Everyone!
The tour started with a greeting from our American guide. He was incredibly friendly and definitely knew who did what, where they did it,when they did it and what it led to! We saw homes of the rich and famous. We saw where the 'Gods of Rock' lived, performed and died. We were thoroughly entertained whilst we were given the tour around London. This tour is for all ages. We certainly weren't the youngest and we definitely were not the oldest! A tour suitable for every nationality! We went to London especially for this tour and we weren't disappointed. From the booking of the trip to getting off the mini bus at the end, it was so organised. Our tour guide went out of his way to accommodate everybody and their likes and dislikes. It certainly was a 'magical' day for my wife and I. IT ROCKED!!
3 hours of fun on the road with our EXCELLENT tour guide Bruce! He knew his stuff and took us on a wonderful trip around London, taking in famous sites like the Kings Rd Chelsea, Kensington High St and Abbey Rd, to the lesser known rock hideaways down little backstreets. With a trivia quiz on the journey and not a minute's silence, Bruce made the whole trip fantastic. If you're thinking of booking this I would highly recommend it.
Rock And Roll Will Never Die...!!
A fantastic afternoon walking (or actually, being driven) down memory lane! Our driver was superb and gave us 4 hours non stop entertainment. Lots of good, relevant information and, all in all, a great, relaxing and fun afternoon visiting places of both the dead and the living!! I never knew that a zebra crossing could be so much fun (Abbey Road)!!
An interesting and fun look at some of the places made famous by rock stars. You'll see pubs, clubs hotels and houses (past and present) of Rock Stars in and areas of London you wouldn't see on normal tours of London.
It was great - we had a new bus which was comfortable but the star of the day was the guide; he was funny, nice and really relaxed which made everyone have a great day.
Wonderful Insight Into London's Rock Past!
My partner and I went on the tour yesterday and it really was a great experience. The tour guide was both fully informed as well as interesting and fun, this was all done to some fantastic backing music - he really did make it a personal day out, taking time to speak to all of the groups who went (Americans, Canadians and Brits), would thoroughly recommend it.
Didn't realise we have so much rock history around London. Guide was very enthusiastic, showing us around with many great stories. We have some amazing celeb mansions in our capital.
I brought this for a gift for my husband as we are both big music fans. Although we know about a lot of the haunts of the stars of the music scene in the 60s we have never visited them before. The tour was excellent and the tour guide told lots of great stories. I would recommend this as a gift to anyone that is a music fan, plus you get to see a lot of London that you may not see as a 'usual' tourist.
What a great three hours! As a Rolling Stones fan I enjoyed visiting Edith Grove and all the other Stones haunts from over the years. Our very knowledgeable guide kept us entertained throughout the whole tour. I would recommend this tour to anyone who has an interest in music young or old, this is part of our heritage, I would even consider doing it all again!!!
The driver was excellent, gave us plenty of time to talk and see the tour properly, he was helpful and considerate, the tour was something we had never considered before but would recommend it to our friends.
The gentleman who took us on the Rock and Roll Legends Tour Bus was excellent - it was very interesting and enjoyable and I would certainly recommend this tour - in fact I already have to some friends.
It's Only Rock N' Roll (But We Liked It)
From the moment Chicago Mike picked us up in our Magic Bus we knew we were going to have a great time, and boy we were not disappointed! For a while we were transported back to our youth, even telling Mike about being at the Stones in the Park concert. Really liked the bits about Pink Floyd, now we understand about the cow on the album cover ... will certainly tell our friends and probably do it again (cue Beach Boys song).
History Of Rock Starts Here!
Being rock fans we were very excited about the tour, just to visit some of the locations where the legends of rock performed and lived was thrilling, these people made rock history and all parents should bring their kids so that they can be made aware of the rock history this country helped to produce.
