Location was absolutely brilliant. Beautiful 'retired' mill with millstream and small pond. Instructor very knowledgeable and able to pass his knowledge over. Obviously hasn't forgotten how hard something is when you first start. Never patronizing or impatient with my ineptitude. Tuition on a one to one basis worked. I am now a convert from mainly coarse fishing before! I now feel confident to go out on my own and catch fish. Thoroughly enjoyable experience in very pleasant company, topped off by catching my first trout a 21/4 Pounder!

A fantastic event and certainly my best ever present. A very well organised, planned and executed event. All of the people we met were exceptional friendly and made us feel very welcome. The location was excellent as were the facilities. The equipment we used was of a very high quality and was well maintained and presented. John our trainer was very good. A good blend of humour alongside the serious stuff. The content was well planned and delivered and covered the basics very well. We were able to put the theory into practice at the on site lake with excellent results. Several good quality fish were landed as well as the inevitable 'ones that got away'. All in all this was a great experience and one that will live long in my memory.

Great Day Out And Interesting Too

This was much better than I had anticipated and a charming location. It combined learning a skill with lots of background information, including etymology. The instructor was great and I'd recommend it to anyone, as it would suit all ages, male and female.

    Fintastic!

The instructor (John) was excellent, did not spend time showing how good he is but just worked on the pupils, which makes a pleasant change - also grade A coffee.

One of those things I have seen from being a boy and thought I would like to do that but like so many other things in life just never got round to doing. What a great venue, great instruction, great company, great fishing and a fantastic day. Never held a fly fishing rod in my hand before, let alone catch a trout with a fly. In the space of a few hours I learnt about the most suitable rod and gear to use, how to cast, choose flies, tie them and best of all catch a trout and I did, five of them in fact. Beginner's luck I guess? Will be buying my first fly fishing rod very shortly and can't wait to give it another go. A big thank you to all involved!

Most Enjoyable Day, The Venue Was First Class

The tuition was superb and the 2:1 ratio really made this possible. The experience covered all aspects of fly fishing and then allowed one to put this straight into practice by catching fish. Your admin was excellent keeping me informed as dates had to change a couple of times. Thanks.

    Everything was perfect
