I've always been interested in aviation and have had some limited experience with (real) light aircraft. Handling a big jet was challenging, but fascinating. The instructor took time to explain the various controls and how they worked and affected the aircraft, although shutting down the engines in mid-flight was (initially, at least) unnerving! All questions were answered unhesitatingly and the experience could easily become very addictive

After recieving this gift as a birthday present, I was thoroughly excited about the opportunity to fly a Boeing 737 simulator. We were made very welcome by the host, who throughout the experience was very helpful and made me feel at ease when at the aircrafts controls. I would fully recommend this to anyone interested in aviation.

I've been interested in flying since I was little, and having played on on plenty of flight simulator games, it was only a matter of time before I got behind the controls of a real aircraft (albeit one fastened to the ground!) The virtual flight centre is a brilliant place for anyone interested in flying or who just wants to know what it feels to land a 737. The pre-flight briefing was really informative and helped to explain some of the most infuriating aspects of flight sim games, and the pilot who took our lesson was friendly and willing to answer anything we asked.

Instructed by a real Airline Pilot who was absolutely brilliant. Very informative and funny. My first Take Offs and Landings were at Manchester Airport and finally did a night landing at Liverpools John Lennon Airport! What an awsome experience.

I was made very welcome on arrival and received a very comprehensive briefing, explaining clearly how the controls worked. We then went into the cockpit and my husband was able to watch me taking the controls. The airports used were ones from our locality, which made it even more realistic. The pilot was very reassuring and encouraging. I experienced a take-off and several landings in various conditions, including nightime and a storm, enabling me to gradually become more competent. Next time I fly to my holiday destination, I will be aware of some of what the pilot has to do to land the plane. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and it will definitely be a conversation point for both my husband and me for many years to come. After all, how many people do you know, who have used the controls in a flight simulator?

This was a fantastic experience with a very good and encouraging instructor. I was given a briefing on the instruments and controls before entering the simulator. The hands on began immediately after familiarisation of the controls and I was allowed to take the aircraft off followed by simple flight manoeuvres before attempting my first landing. This was followed by more landings in varying weather conditions and also at night. A wonderful experience

A really informative and interesting talk when I first arrived. Followed by some friendly instructions in the simulator, and then an absoluteley brilliant session at the controls made extra special by the instructors clear and precise instructions. Delivered with a sense of humour and passion. I would thoroughly recommend this to anybody for a special treat. Thank you very much.

I've done simulator experiences before and must admit I was a bit sceptical about doing a shared one but I need not have worried. Excellent briefing and instruction and a friendly co-pilot! It felt like much more than 30 minutes of flying and we managed to each do 5 or 6 exercises of increasing difficulty. A bit of friendly rivalry with the other participant added to the fun. It's a pity it's a static simulator rather than full motion but it's amazing how you get sucked into it and feel like you're flying. Even the simulator graphics were better than the state of the art Airbus full motion simulator I went on several years ago. I'll definitely be going back for another session in the future, possibly longer and on my own rather than shared just so I can make the most of the experience. Definitely recommend Virtual Flight Centre to anyone wanting to experience flying a commercial airplane. Two thumbs up!

I booked this experience as a gift for my husband but have to say that we both had a fantastic day. I would thoroughly recommend the simulator to anyone interested in flying. The pilot who sat with my husband was friendly, informative and really put my husband at ease & I really enjoyed being able to be involved in the experience too. We will definitely be booking to do this again - fantastic, thank you

Absolutely great experience from start to finish. Met by our instructor with a cup of tea and a very warm welcome. Excellent briefing taking into account that I have had experience on light aircraft. Then to the Sim - again great briefing on everything I was doing, no rush. Did one takeoff and four landings by which time you really did feel immersed in the sim and the feeling to the controls and handling of the 737. Finally with my fellow experience colleague Louise, we did two landings in a lightning storm at night! If you have even a remote interest in flying all I can say is go for it - this is one to remember.

My boyfriend has always wanted to be a pilot and this is the closest thing to actually flying one! The man who ran the experience was amazing. He was very knowledgeable, patient and very enthusiastic! My boyfriend could not stop thanking me and smiling for the rest of the day!
