With race commentators and trophies to be won, this is real racing in fantastic 1300cc saloon stock cars. After a briefing on safety and driving techniques, you'll drive for four practice laps and two racing heats of eight laps each. Based on the points scored in the heats, each driver will then be streamed into a championship final for ten electrifying laps against drivers of a similar ability. The winners of the four finals line up for eight laps in the Showdown Shootout race to find the ultimate champion. Conclude with a trophy presentation for the best drivers of the day. The adrenaline is pumped up throughout with commentary over the PA system, race marshals, fans and a great atmosphere.

Brilliant day out, excellently organised throughout. These people know their stuff!!! Had lots of fun as did my family who came to watch. Couldn't have asked for a better 30th birthday present.

Super Day, With A Friendly And Competitive Spirit

Well organised, no hold ups with administration from booking the day, to getting ready to race. Racing was lively but well marshalled with safety uppermost in mind. Excellent race atmosphere provided by PA commentary with a good crowd of cheering supporters. Unfortunately, the drivers on the day were doing their best to break the machinery, with punctures, wheels flying off and thrills and spills. The mechanics were kept more than busy but cars were back and running with speedy resolve. A great day made all the better by a personal win in the Group C final, and a parade lap and trophy by way of celebration.

It Was A Really Good Laugh

I had a really good day and everyone was really friendly. I was the only girl with 25 men, there was certainly a lot of competition that's for sure! All the staff were really friendly and helpful.

Fantastic Experience Which Was Enjoyed By All!!

I took my partner and son - they both had a brilliant time, even more so when I was disqualified!!! Seriously though - this is a great experience for anyone of any age or gender and I would highly recommend it! Thank you to everyone for a great day.

They Really Let Me Drive That Car!

When I arrived at the Birmingham racetrack and saw the format, I thought that can't be for us. But after a short introduction and safety briefing we were on the track in the cars and racing full on. It was a thrilling ride in the race prepared vehicles and good fun with the other Red Letter Days competitors. I would do it again and recommend it as an experience.

The Whole Day Was Spot On

Key Info

Availability: Weekend dates approximately once every month throughout the year.

Participant Guidelines: Drivers must be reasonably fit and anyone who has suffered a back or neck injury should not take part. Min age 17. Min height is 4'10'' and max 6'6''. Max weight 20 stone. A driving licence is not required although experience of driving manual cars is.

Weather: Driving might be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions which would make driving at speed dangerous. If this happens, you'll be offered alternative dates. Please call the venue if in any doubt.

Duration: Your experience lasts for around four hours. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early for refreshments and to ensure a prompt start. Please allow for extra time at the end in case the experience runs over.

Numbers On Day: There will be around 30 people taking part, split into groups of eight.

Spectators: Spectators are welcome, but you must confirm numbers at least a week in advance. The fee is £5, payable on the day, which includes a programme. Please note that some of the spectator facilities aren't covered and there is no catering licence onsite.

Dress Code: Dress warmly and comfortably and wear flat-soled shoes. The centre will provide all protective clothing and waterproofs.

Other Info: The venue has disabled lavatories and good wheelchair access viewing areas. This is one of the top stock car tracks in the UK, operating championship events for professional and semi-professional stock car formulas.
