Availability:
Weekend dates approximately once a month from March to December.
Participant Guidelines:
Minimum age is 17 and maximum weight 20 stone. Minimum height is 4'11'', maximum is 6'5''. You'll need to be an experienced driver, but you don't need a driving licence. Anyone with a back or neck injury should not take part.
Weather:
Driving might be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions, when driving at speed might become dangerous. Please call the venue if in any doubt.
Duration:
Your experience lasts for around six hours. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early for refreshments and to ensure a prompt start. Please allow for extra time at the end in case the experience runs over.
Numbers On Day:
There will be around 40 people taking part. More cars will be provided if necessary to ensure your driving time remains the same.
Spectators:
Spectators are welcome, but you must confirm numbers at least a week in advance. The fee is £10 adult/£5 child, payable on the day, which includes a programme, simple lunch and tea/coffee. Please note that some of the spectator facilities aren't covered.
Dress Code:
Dress warmly and comfortably. Wear flat-soled shoes and bring waterproofs if it's wet. Any special equipment you need will be provided.
Other Info:
Northampton International Raceway is a Stockcar World Championship venue and hosts some of the biggest oval motorsports events of the year. The venue has disabled lavatories and good wheelchair access viewing areas.
