Most Fun With Your Clothes On And 24 Strangers
The basement dance area of the Bar Salsa was reassuringly dim which I hoped would hide my efforts to learn salsa. Alistair our teacher had a great sense of humour (he dances really well too!) and in minutes he had us dancing with other partners. It soon became apparent that this was a good way of getting over our nervousness and avoided the potential criticism for our nearest and dearest. This also got us used to real life in a salsa bar where you would dance (hopefully) with other partners. By the end of the day, tired but happy we were all able to release our inner salsa dancer and make a creditable circuit of the dance floor.
Fun Packed, Energetic Day
No time for inhibitions, salsa is a social experience so having been a wall flower for 40 years, I was straight into it with no time to make excuses. My perception of learning Salsa with my wife was far from reality! The instructors soon has us moving around and changing partners which was a great way to make new friends, forget fear and occasionally punch above our weight! You should do this to realise that you can have more fun by doing than watching. Great instruction, value for money and confidence building.
Really Wonderful Valentine's Day Gift From My Love
Great entertainment and education. Have already decided to go to a local salsa session in the local village hall as soon as possible. Having started as a complete beginner it might be ambitious but nothing ventured nothing gained. Had a lot to learn, and occasionally must have come across as a muppet ... but good fun.
Really Good Fun Day - We Learnt A Lot
The course was well run and entertaining. We enjoyed the experience. The staff were friendly and willing to help out when you just couldn't get it!
A Fantastic Day Of Salsa Beats
We had a great time at our salsa lesson. We felt nervous at first but our instructor (who was fab) put us at ease right from the start. Before we knew it we were owning the dance floor! When we got home we continued practising in our kitchen! Seriously though it was a great wedding gift and very original!
Instructor Made This Day Great Fun
The class was well balanced with good and improver dancers. I had never done anything like Salsa dancing before. The quality of the training was very good. The location of Bar Salsa was convenient (in the West End) and provided a more realistic feeling of Salsa dancing. The club opens after the class - so if you have the energy, you can put your new found skills to use right away. Alistair made eveyone feel at ease at the beginning and in his closing speech he said that participants would be welcomed back to a class if they feel that they need to practice some more. Therefore if you have a gap between the class and going to a club, this is a real benefit. I will probably go and have a refresher course anyway, as it was so much fun. Highly recommended!
What A Fantastic Way To Spend A Saturday
This was an excellent day - the teacher was really brilliant, combining humour with hard work! I ached from head to foot by the end - but it was such fun and I met some lovely people.
Fantastic Day, Brilliant Fun!
I learnt so much in such a short time! Hopefully I will be able to remember it all!!! The teachers were fun and very helpful, I felt comfortable in a large group of people very quickly and enjoyed the whole day.
Will have you dancing all day. From basic steps to learning different turns by the end of the day. Great way to start to learn to salsa and takes any fear away as you get to dance and practice with everyone. A great day's dancing.
A Fantastic Day. We Will Definitely Be Going Back.
We had a really good day and will definitely be booking again for more lessons.
The day was fantastic, we learnt so much. The instructors were brilliant and really enthusiastic, they wanted you to succeed. I can honestly say that I now feel confident enough to go to any Salsa club and give it a go.
This was a great day for anyone who wants to get fit, stay young, enjoy new experiences and meet new people. Only made possible by the expert Alastair who taught us with patience, humour and huge enthusiasm. All in all a day to be highly recommended.
Sizzling, Sensual And Passionate - Oh Yes!
Brilliant fun, really humorous and very intense - one of the best Christmas presents I have ever bought!!! Haven't stop salsaing since we came back.
The instructor was amazing. He made the day fun and entertaining whilst teaching us loads. There was no feeling awkward and after a tentative start everyone was soon getting into the salsa feeling. The day flew by, would highly recommend it but buy some good bubble bath for afterwards!
Excellent Fun, Thoroughly Recommend It
My husband and I had a great day but exhausting. We were with a good crowd of people of mixed ages from the young to the not so young (we were part of the latter) but this made no difference whatsoever. The instructor was very friendly and funny and taught us a variety of steps and moves.
Brilliant Fun - Brilliant Teacher
I haven't laughed as much in a long time. I went from feeling as awkward as the Tin Man, to moving my hips and feet in a way that would make Ricky Martin proud! I can't recommend this experience highly enough.
A good way to meet and mix with lots of different people. Very friendly and encouraging instructors.
Great Teacher Who Entertained The Troops!
An excellent day shimmying around the floor as well as learning how to dance! This is a great introduction to kick start and inspire potential salsa dancers to learn how to flaunt their stuff!
Excellent experience, tutors really friendly and funny. Good crowd of people and about the right number. Tuition was good and informative.
Intensive Salsa Dancing One Day Course
It was a fantastic day, thank you. The people teaching were very welcoming and were great at explaining how to get the moves etc. Very long and tiring day but thoroughly enjoyable!
The salsa coach and his team were absolutely brilliant. Thanks for an unforgettable day. I laughed from start to finish - I just wish I had a time machine - I'd go back and do it all over again.
My partner and I arrived at Bar Salsa, in Central London, not sure what to expect. Both of us had exactly zero experience of salsa before and were rather anxious to see what all the fuss was about. Luckily, any illusions we had of perma-tanned dance professionals and sequins quickly evaporated; the teacher was friendly, helpful and very experienced in teaching total novices, and there was a real mix of all ages of those who attended. By the end of the day we felt like we could go to a salsa night and at least hold our own. We had a great (and exhausting) time and would recommend the experience to anyone, regardless of age, fitness or sense of rhythmn!
No hiccups in the booking and arranging. The day was well organised and great fun.
