The standard F430 is one of the finest sports cars in the world, but then Ferrari decided to make it just that bit better. The Scuderia is more track-focused, more powerful, lighter and better balanced than the original. The result is a truly astonishing car that produces 503bhp and an engine noise like a jet fighter. You'll begin with a briefing, then your instructor will drive you for three laps in a Mazda 3 MPS to familiarise you with the driving lines of the circuit. Next you'll take over the driving seat for four laps in a Porsche Cayman. Then at last you'll slip behind the wheel of the F430 Scuderia for four mind-blowing laps. Be warned, this Italian missile is capable of 0 - 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of almost 200mph; it's not for the faint-hearted. You'll finish driving five laps in a Formula Renault single-seater - sitting two inches off the ground, with lightning-quick steering, this little dynamo of a car gives a totally different ride to the Ferrari.

Availability: Selected Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from April to November. At least two dates per month. Dates fill very quickly, so please allow at least six weeks advance booking notice.
Participant Guidelines: You must be under 6'3'' tall, weigh less than 18 stone and hold a full British or international manual driving licence. On the day you'll be asked to confirm that you're in good health, with no disabilities that could impair your driving.
Weather: Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions like ice or heavy rain, when driving at speed might become dangerous. Call the venue if in any doubt. Any unused laps will be credited for another visit.
Duration: Your experience will last for around three and a half hours, including briefing, safety guidance, driving time and debrief. There are several different start times (am and pm) on race days, all subject to availability.
Numbers On Day: Your briefing will be shared. All in-car tuition is on a one-to-one basis, other than demonstration laps.
Spectators: Spectators are welcome. A camera will come in handy. The venue offers good facilities for spectators and drivers. Children must be closely supervised at all times and dogs are not permitted at any circuits.
Dress Code: Dress comfortably (preferably avoiding synthetic clothing) and wear narrow, flat-soled shoes. A helmet and any special clothing you need will be provided. You can bring your own helmet if you prefer (it will be safety checked before driving).
Other Info: Thruxton is the fastest circuit in the UK and a popular course in the British Touring Car championships. You'll drive the full 2.4 mile circuit. You can buy extra laps and photographs of you driving on the day.
