We arrived to a very warm welcome, and breakfast with Charlie, Noel Fehily and the team, including some good banter! We then set off to track the horses on the gallops, and even though the mist had descended, it was a fantastic sight. We were then given a tour of the stables, followed by coffee with Charlie in his office. To top it all, Charlie suggested we could go to Chepstow races that afternoon. He very kindly left us owners and trainers badges at the gate, and then met us later on. He took us into the parade ring, and he gave us a real insight into racing. I had bought this as a 50th birthday present for my finacee, and the visit to the yard was brilliant in it's own right. Charlie's kind offer of tickets to the races and his willingness to share the afternoon with him was the icing on the cake. Many thanks to all of the team, the day will be remembered forever.

Good Insight To National Hunt Racing.

A very warm & friendly welcome, we were made to feel at home. After breakfast Charlie drove us up his gallops for a view to die for, (breathtaking). We waited whilst his horses were put through their morning training. Back to the stables to be introduced to the stables lads and lasses & horses. Everybody seamed very happy, friendly & keen to get on with the next group of horses for their morning gallop. Mr Charlie Mann was very forthcoming in letting us know what the horses plans were ,there is a very positive buzz about his establishment. I wish them the very best of luck and good fortune for the coming season 2011\12 Excellent Day

The sheer horse power was awesome, loved the morning, wish it could have lasted longer. Thank you Charlie Mann and his team, very pleasant folk, who were obviously busy but had time to answer questions.

We had a wonderful morning at Charlie Mann's racing stables. It was perfect from start to finish. We started by having breakfast with Charlie Mann and jockey Noel Fehily together with some of the owners. We then went into Charlie's landrover and on to the training gallops. There we saw the horses gallop past and then listened to the feedback the the riders gave to Charlie. Returning back to the stables, Don, an experienced stable worker, showed us all the horses. He gave us an enthusiastic and informative talk on every single horse. We finished back at the house with a coffee and chat about the afternoon's racing. Charlie answered all our questions and nothing was too much trouble. We left with a booklet on his horses and many happy memories. Thank you to Charlie, Noel, Don and the rest of the staff.

An Excellent Experience For Us Both

Charlie Mann gave the two of us a wonderful day out. He was attentive to all our needs and answered all our questions and held nothing back - he even discussed the prospects for his two runners that day in open court with his jockey. When he discovered that we were going to Fontwell Park for the afternoon he arranged owners passes for us and invited us into the parade ring. His horses came in first and second which was also very pleasing and means we made a few bob! Charlie Mann is an exceptional fellow and Red Letter Days should consider themselves lucky to have Charlie as part of their team. A great day.

A Fantastic Experience For Lovers Of Horse Racing.

At 8am on a wet and windy February morning my wife and I and two other horse racing fans were met by Charlie Mann in the yard of his stables in Upper Lambourn. After the normal introductions we were taken over to Whitcoombe House where we were seated around the large kitchen table and treated to a delicious fried breakfast, as Charlie outlined plans for the morning and answered questions. At this point we were joined by Noel Fehily, the highly talented stable jockey. After breakfast and a look at horses circulating in a paddock, the six of us clambered into Charlie's 'jeep' and headed off up to the breezy gallops where the horses we had seen earlier were now doing their work. Charlie and Noel watched them carefully. Back at the stables a while later, we were shown around all the boxes and provided with information on every horse in the yard. A fantastic experience concluded in Charlie's office with coffee and then farewells. Brilliant!

Open your eyes to see top class champion racehorse jumpers in action both in the yard and on the gallops. Charlie Mann gives a personal insight (including breakfast) on how he gets into the minds of these pedigree race horses and what makes them champions and how to get the best out of them in his fantastic set up in Lambourn. An experience not be missed for any racing enthusiast!

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome by everybody working at the stables. We could ask any questions we liked and gathered a true insight in to the workings of the yard and were able to get close to the horses. The three hours went too quick!! I would recommend this experience to anybody with an interest in horse racing or horses in general.
