  • About

Get your binoculars out and prepare yourself for this unique perspective of London with an amphibious tour around the sights of the capital. These fascinating DUKWS vehicles were originally used in World War Two and the Korean War, transporting troops and cargo across the waters straight onto the land - exactly what you'll be doing! Famous sights you'll see include Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace and The Ritz. Your guide will give you an entertaining commentary, providing an alternative view of London's history, as well as including some fascinating facts and figures about the DUKW (known as Duck) vehicle. Then after passing The Tate Gallery, you'll dive into the Thames and swim up and down the river, before climbing up onto the streets of London towards Lambeth Palace and back to your starting point near the famous EDF Energy London Eye.

    • Tour the city in a famous DUKWS war vehicle
    • From patrolling the streets of London, your vehicle will plunge into the Thames

My friend and I really enjoyed our experience despite being a cold and dreary day. We soon forgot the weather as our guide Craig regaled us with a ream of interesting facts in a most interesting and humorous way. The time went so quickly as it was a riveting experience. On the way home we discussed members of our families who would love the experience and you may hear from us soon! Please thank the guide, driver and boatman. Carol

Our party of 5 all enjoyed the London site seeing and Thames experience. Our guide was both amusing and knowledgible and gave an interesting running commentary. We were very lucky with the weather on the day which was the icing on the cake making the trip memorable for all the right reasons.

    Super Experience

A great day was had by all, from my teenage son to our older friends from Calgary, and I would thoroughly recommend this as an alternative to the "regular" tours of London. Our guide was not only very informative but REALLY funny too!!

A Fantastic Experience For The Whole Family.

The welcome to the Ducktours assembly point was, despite the weather, cheery and organised. Our steed for the tour 'Beatrice' was shimmering in the drizzle and as we boarded and made ourselves comfortable there was an audible buzz of excitement from the passengers, eager to set off. The tour was excellent and Luke the guide well informed and dry witted, the information given being well timed and informative for all ages. The most anticipated part of the tour was, of course the entry into the Thames, breaths were held as Beatrice semi gracefully rolled into the water, we bobbed around like a freshly dropped cork and settled into the wetter part of the tour with a breeze on our faces and Thames water spray on our lips but all too soon we were at the houses of parliament and turning for our return journey. Back at the slipway we exited the water with a reasurring bump as the wheels made contact with terra firma and the trip back to base began. This trip will never be forgotten. Thank you.

Fun And Informative - Excellent Combination

This family treat needed to appeal to two boys aged 11 and 12 and a 14 year old girl. There was just enough adrenaline rush from the ride to keep the kids up for it and not overload their more sedate parents! An added bonus was the informed and humorous commentary that our guide gave all the way round. The kids were being educated without them knowing it and kept quoting 'when the lions are drinking, London's sinking' all the way home. And if you want to find out what that means - take an amphibious tour of London!
