After a safety briefing you'll board your custom-built Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB). Heading upstream from the EDF Energy London Eye, you'll see the Houses of Parliament before racing back down to Tower Bridge and Canary Wharf, with unrivalled views of Tate Modern, St Paul's Cathedral and the Tower of London along the way. Your experienced skipper knows lots of stories about the layers of history that have built up along the river and he'll entertain everyone as you whisk around in 360-degree spins. He can tell you all about London's darker past too: the bolt holes that tell tales of the criminals chained up to drown at high tide, and the Watergate dungeon entrance, known for over 300 years as 'Traitors Gate'.

    • A sight-seeing trip with a difference, on board a high-speed RIB powerboat
    • Fantastic views of landmarks including the Houses of Parliament, Tate Modern and the Tower of London
    • Fascinating commentary from your experienced skipper - wet, wild and great fun
    • This one is not for the faint-hearted!

I had an excellent time. All the staff were helpful, polite and had great personalities, especially the guide on the boat (a blonde girl from Manchester) who used her wit to make a great rip in to an excellent one.

What a great experence Powerboating up the Thames. Everything ran smoothly and on time. The trip was enlightening (even though I'm a Londoner) and great fun. I thoroughly recommend it!

This was most definitely a lot of fun - well organised and the chap running the show was funny and entertaining. (Sorry you weren't good enough even for a non-speaking role for The Globe. Take solace from the fact that you are far too entertaining to be in a silent role.) The ride itself was fabulous - would have loved to have gone round again though, where we could go fast. I appreciate the speed restrictions on the river though.

I enjoyed immensely my trip on the speed boat. Being no 'spring chicken' I have known London for many many years now. But things change and to go up the Thames and see London with a totally different view was quite frankly amazing and interesting. Having been warned about a bumpy ride and to be careful of bad backs I was quite suprised to find how at speed the ride was really quite smooth. I now am considering giving my children the trip for Christmas as what can you get 30+'s who have it all! Thank you for a grand time. (I would add that the operator on Sunday 19th September was sick and the staff did try to give some of their little knowledge on points of interest and did try to make the boat ride more thrilling to make up. It was a good job that I had some knowledge of London anyway!)

Who wants to go along the Thames slowly on a big tourist boat? This was great fun. Interesting commentary up to Tower Bridge and then we sped off towards Canary Wharf where we got up to 47mph turning sharply right and left. Screams of enjoyment coming from everyone on board. Great way to see London, especially enjoyed going under Tower Bridge in the powerboat.

From the moment you get on the boat to the moment you get off a great trip at speed on the Thames. Excellent service by all involved. Very easy to get on and off. An entertaining guide and host gave us useful tips on the local sights on the banks of the Thames. The trip consisted of speed, adventure, surprises, great views and a wish of lets do it again. A thoroughly entertaining trip and something I will recommend to friends.

Fantastic day. A must for everyone, and the guides are great. I rate it above the London Eye, which I thought was also good. Will recommend it to all my friends, and am booking another experience with Red Letter Days again soon.

I will never forget the broad grins on my daughters' faces as we skimmed the Thames at speeds causing their hair to fly everywhere. But they didn't care, as a family we were having the time of our lives. The highlight was top speed weaving across the river around the Isle of Dogs. Bouncing over the wakes of the slower tourist vessels and dodging the large mooring buoys. The fantastic crisp and sunny afternoon just added to the fun and excitement. On the way back the unique views of London from the water were engaging and fascinating, made more enjoyable by the banter and information from the crew. I love the mix of architecture you can see from the river. We discovered the medieval heritage buildings of the Tower of London and the glass clad offices and homes of Canary Wharf. The trip took us back in history at the hills of Ludgate and Cornhill where Roman London was founded and finished on a run from the modern MI6 buillding to the London Eye in the wake of James Bond. Unforgettable.

We had a great time, whizzing up and down the thames in a speedboat with Baywatch and Miami Vice music playing. Fantastic tour and and interesting array of information given by the guides, and excellent value for money.
