  • About

Here is an excellent way for two people to see The Thames from a new perspective and take in some of the great sights of our capital city from the river. Jump aboard this small, light and high-speed powerboat, otherwise known as a RIB (which stands for rigid inflatable boat) and get ready for some fast fun. There is always a safety briefing to start with before being kitted out with the kind of gear needed for this waterborne experience. Then it's all systems go as the skipper takes you up and down the river, pointing out areas of interest and telling stories (he knows the river really well and has lots of interesting snippets to share) so sit back and hold on!

    • Sight-seeing with a difference, aboard a high-speed RIB powerboat
    • Fantastic views of London landmarks
    • Fascinating commentary from an experienced skipper

Took the 50 minute RIB speedboat ride down the Thames. As soon as we passed Tower Bridge , the boat went full throttle. Such fun. Great trip! Didn't want it to stop. Skipper was excellent as was our guide.

Well organised trip from the waterproof jacket, the initial guide up to tower bridge before the pilot opened the throttle and a fantastic way to rip up the Thames. Definitely go again, thanks to Tom & Tom, our hosts.

This ride is totally epic and full of fun. The time flies by, but to the sound of 007 flying up the river is a great feeling and then once past Tower Bridge the way the boat is steered more or less making you feel like you're about to fall in, is awesome. Not for the feint hearted, but def worth the money.

My husband and son really enjoyed their hour long powerboat experience on the Thames. Kitted out to keep dry and safe and then time to enjoy the sites with interesting information from the skipper.

The tour guide (Ginger Mike) was really informative and brought comedy to what he was teaching us. The boat ride itself was fantastic and great fun when it went fast! Overall a great experience!

It was a brilliant experience. I had been on a Thames cruise before but never a power boat. You go from the pier at London Eye at a steady speed until you get beyond Tower Bridge and then it's full throttle and the 007 theme blares out. Some exciting moves, weaving around the Thames at full speed, white knuckle time at this stage, beyond the Isle of Dogs and then back. You get to see the banks of the Thames and then back to base, slowing down at Tower Bridge so that the host, who was Tom on this day (who looked a bit like the travel adventurer Simon Reeve) could give you an entertaining and informative run down of the icons on the banks of the Thames and a bit of the history of the Thames. Then back to base. Worth the money, yes! Not like one of your gentile river cruises! I want to do it over and over again!

    Great Fun

Went on RIB powerboat. Crew very funny. Weather cold and windy - but you are given waterproofs. Thames was bit rough but this added to the fun.

Fabulous experience, given some facts about the Thames we didn't know before in a humorous style... And then came the fast, swerving, thumping ride at the top end of the river to pumping rock music! I whooped and laughed the whole time, magic, AND stayed dry, amazing trip!

    Do It!!!!

A simply brilliant experience. A tour of London sights from the water, quirky and interesting facts from a really enthusiastic guide (Tom) and an adrenaline fuelled ride down the Thames (courtesy of Skipper Steve) Will be back to do it again soon!

Didn't know what to expect on the RIB speedboat trip but I was not disappointed. Thrilling time and racing on the Thames with James Bond theme music topped it all off.

What a great day, I brought this surprise trip for my wife for Xmas she was not impressed, why I get travel sick she said. So when we boarded yesterday I was nervous it did not need to be within 5 minutes of setting up she had a big broad smile and when the skipper opened up the throttle she screamed with excitement. We had a fabulous day and would recommend this to anyone even if they do get sick on Fairground rides you will be fine on the RIB the views are amazing the wind in your face and the staff are so friendly and interesting. I have been on many different boat trips up and down the Thames but this is by far the most exciting.

This fantastic trip up and down the Thames was fun and memorable for everyone. It provides a wealth of variety for anyone who chooses to go on it. You get the chance to zip up the Thames taking in the atmosphere of the city, to literally fly over the water and experience the sharp turns this amazing boat is capable of, and to gently cruise underneath the bridges while the guide points out the multitude of sights, from the needle, one of the oldest sights you will see in London, to the incredibly famous London Eye, which is the starting point for the trip. For the entire ride you will be impressed by the enthusiastic and informative guide and the confident and thoroughly trained skipper. Almost anyone who is interested can have a go and be highly impressed by the fantastic 450 horse-power RIB, the beauty of London from the river Thames, and the quality of service you will experience. So if you're at all unsure about whether this is for you or not - go for it - you won't be disappointed!
