  • About

Here is an excellent way for two people to see the Thames from a new perspective and take in some of the great sights of our capital city from the river. Jump aboard this small, light and high-speed powerboat, otherwise known as a RIB (which stands for rigid inflatable boat) and get ready for some fast fun. There is always a safety briefing to start with before being kitted out with the kind of gear needed for this waterborne experience. Then it's all systems go as the skipper takes you up and down the river, pointing out areas of interest and telling stories (he knows the river really well and has lots of interesting snippets to share) so sit back and hold on!

    • Sight-seeing with a difference, aboard a high-speed RIB powerboat
    • Fantastic views of London landmarks
    • Fascinating commentary from an experienced skipper

Arrived and were warmly greeted and kitted out with waterproofs and life jackets .after safety briefing we went slowly up river, this is rather tame we thought? Then our skipper opened the throttles and our experience really started, this powerboat really packs a punch! after a session of high speed manouveres we turned and slowed for a return trip at a leisurely speed. This enabled our guide to point out places of interest and give information on what we saw..A throughly enjoyable expierience.

At speed, in the sun and away from the crowds, this is a novel and exciting way to view the Thames. The tight turns speeding close to the river banks are exhilarating and the crew's witty repartee help to put a new slant on the capital's sights.

We were met by a friendly lady who furnished us with coats and life-jackets and when the RIB came in the skipper introduced himself and we all had a bit of good humoured banter which set the scene. The trip up to Tower Bridge was made with a running and humorous commentary by our guide Craig (the skipper was Dave) and we discovered several things about the places passed that were both new to us and informative. After creeping passed the Police Pier at Wapping the hammer went down and with James Bond music blasting in our ears the boat surged forward with incredible acceleration and Dave started throwing the boat about from side to side in power slides....absolutely exhilarating (if a bit bumpy) All in all an exciting and stimulating 50 minutes. Breathless and still hanging on to anything that was fixed we cruised back down to the start point at a more leisurely rate to get our breath back!! The two crew guys were absolutely great and really made the day. Thanks

Awesome!!!! A great treat and a great way to see the London land marks. Dave is an amazing skipper and made sure the pace was exciting and Mark was hilarious and kept everyone entertained. Also thank you to the cheerful young lady who helped kit us up in our life jackets and took some photos of us before our adventure.

What a fantastic day out. Ginger Mike was our tour guide and he was a fountain of knowledge on the history of london which was an extra treat for us. The boat was fab so fab we are going to book again. Thank you for the woooohoooo experience. This has created precious memories. The end of the ride they played the bond theme and all the London 2012 Olympic emotions came flooding back. What a treat.

This is a fantastic experience for anyone who wants to learn a few facts - delivered with plenty of humour and enthusiasm; and also enjoys a bit of high speed exhilaration! The first half of the trip is taken at a leisurely pace, and the guide makes you feel involved from the off. He was great fun, and I learnt several new things, even though I'm no stranger to London. Once past Tower Bridge, the engines are opened up, and it's a high speed blast along to Canary Wharf with plenty of turns, and opportunities to wave at other boat trippers as you go flying past them! After a big, fast U-turn, it was back at high speed to Tower Bridge and then a slower cruise back to the London Eye. Our guide chatted to all the passengers individually during this part and took photos of people with their own cameras, which was a nice touch. All in all, this was a trip which left us with huge grins on our faces, and a desire to do it again. Certainly the most fun trip on the Thames I can ever remember.
