Participant Guidelines
Minimum age is 16. Maximum weight is 13 and a half stone, fully-clothed. You need to be reasonably fit. Anyone over 40 will need to complete a medical declaration form before taking part.
Weather
Flights are weather dependent. You MUST call for confirmation on the day of your flight, between 7.30am - 8am for AM flights or 9am - 10am for PM flights. Any cancellations are rebooked.
Duration
The length of your flight depends entirely on the prevailing thermal currents (the warmer air that provides the lift). As a guide, your flight can last between 15 and 25 minutes, depending on thermals and wind. Please allow at least 2 hours at the venue.
Numbers On Day
Your briefing might be shared; your flight will be held on a one-to-one basis with the instructor.
Spectators
Spectators are welcome to watch you take off and land, dont let them forget to bring a camera or pair of binoculars. They can relax in the cafe and viewing area on the airfield. Sorry, dogs are not permitted at airfields.
Dress Code
Wear closed in flat-soled shoes and bring a jumper with you in case it's cold at higher altitudes. Bring gloves in winter and sunblock and a hat in summer. Sunglasses are recommended all year round. All other equipment will be provided on the day.
