    We all do it - belt out hits in the shower, sing along to the radio with a hairbrush for a mike. With this experience you'll get to take your talent out of the shower and into the studio. Actually it's not just for singers - this session is also perfect for musicians who'd like to record a piece. This experience includes the assistance of an experienced session producer/engineer who will help you make the most of your talents and select appropriate backing tracks. You'll take home a CD of your performance. Also take a look at the mixing process and the work that goes on behind the scenes. Studio staff are happy to help and advise on the techniques needed to get the best from your voice or instrument. Some have interesting stories about famous people they have worked with so you know you are in capable hands.

    Availability

    Seven days a week.

    Participant Guidelines

    Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. Up to two people are welcome to take part, singing solos or duets or playing instruments.

    Duration

    Your recording session will last for approximately six hours, please don't be late.

    Numbers On Day

    The studio is all yours.

    Spectators

    Up to four spectators are welcome. They can bring along video equipment or cameras.

    Dress Code

    There is no dress code, but if you wish to dress up as your favourite pop star, then please feel free.

    Other Info

    Choose your song at least a week in advance, the studio will call you a few days before. Due to copyright some titles may not be available. You can play an instrument instead of singing, the studio will use the backing track chosen minus that instrument.

    Well, Me Guitar Playing Needs A Lot Of Work!

    Fundamentally, I was trying a first time singer/songwriter session to lay down some of my own own amateur songs/tracks (I managed 6). The trick about this is that any weakness or mistake on your own performance is beautifully captured! And the focus required is quite demanding as you can get through 99 % of the song and then blow it on the last chord! Or the first. I was generally happy with the songs and the help and the recording is first rate, but oh that guitar work.........but unless you stretch, you'll never know.... I think the facility is pretty special and the attention and work of my engineer was excellent. So thanks Johnathan.

    The recording session was everything that I hoped it would be, extremely professional whilst Jonathan (sound engineer) was really accomodating and helpful to ensure that we got the most out of the recordings that we were able to make. Stewart the owner/manager also made us feel very welcome and relaxed when we arrived. I would strongly recommend this experience to anyone who is interested in cutting your own C.D.
