  • About

Mountain boarding - the newest and wildest extreme sport to hit the UK. You and a friend will first be kitted out with proper mountain boards and a full safety kit, before heading to the ATBA approved nursery academy for your lesson with a fully qualified instructor. You can expect to be versed on all the basics of this fantastic sport and how to handle the board first. Then with your confidence building, you can challenge yourselves to the slalom training course, racing at speeds of up to 40 mph. If you really get in the swing of things, you could even progress to the freestyle park with ramps ranging from a foot high to the 'Big Daddy' five feet jump!

    • Two to one instruction on an addictive extreme sport
    • ATBA (All Terrain Boarding Association) certified instructors
    • Get to grips with the basics during a one hour lesson
    • Then enjoy an hour freestyling in the stunt park

    Participant Guidelines

A health questionnaire must be completed before you will be permitted to ride. There is no minimum age, but any participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

    Duration

Your lesson will last for an hour and you will have one hour in the Freestyle park. You are welcome to spend the rest of the day on site.

Your lesson is two to one with an instructor. There will be other participants onsite on the day.

Family, friends and even pets (controlled and on a lead) are welcome to join you on the day. You could even bring your own picnic, although there are catering facilities onsite.

Your clothes should be comfortable and loose fitting for this experience. Wear long sleeves and trousers with flat shoes (without laces reduces the risk of getting anything caught) and no jewellery please.

Great blast of fun. The experienced boarders got it quicker but even the novices had a good time. Few bruises to prove we pushed ourselves! Great setting and deck chairs helped recoup with our picnic afterwards!

Despite the course running late and an additional person being added to our group, nothing could take away from the enjoyment of the experience. Being amongst experienced snowboarders, it became apparent that mountain boarding was harder in many ways, especially as your feet are only loosely strapped onto the board which made the heel turns particularly challenging. If you are looking for an activity to challenge and excite, this one is definitely for you!

Had a fantastic day out with my best mate, quickly got the hang of it and made the most of the jumps. Also got some good speed down the hill.
