Ever wanted the chance to see dolphins and whales in their natural environment without going abroad? Well here's your chance to explore the marine life of the UK coast, with the possibility of seeing these beautiful sea creatures, on our dolphin and whale watching experience for two. The package also features free entry to the Maritime Museum on the day. Once you have boarded the boat, you'll be taken out into the coastal waters of Falmouth, Cornwall for up to two hours. You might see bottlenose and common dolphins, porpoises, basking sharks, minke and pilot whales, atlantic grey seals and sea birds. As these are all wild animals we can't guarantee which ones may make an appearance on the day, but we can ensure a fascinating wildlife experience.

    • Enjoy a leisurely sea safari in the UK
    • Includes free entry to the Maritime Museum on the day
    • Take in beautiful views in a 12 seater rigid inflatable boat with twin engines
    • The boat cruises up to 30 knots and features a spotting tower and forward facing jockey seats

    Participant Guidelines

Minimum age is 6; younger children are not permitted on board for safety reasons. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. Sorry, but wheelchair users, pregnant women or customers over 16 stone generally can't be accommodated.

It is essential that you call to confirm the weather forecast and exact timing of your experience (tide times change considerably) with the skipper 24 hours before your trip. If cancelled, you'll be re-booked for another day.

    Duration

The trip usually lasts for around two hours.

    Numbers On Day

This experience is for two people. Your boat will carry a maximum of 12 passengers.

    Spectators

The boat trip is limited to paying participants, but friends and family are welcome to wave you off. Being close to Falmouth town centre, there are plenty of options to keep everyone happy until the boat returns.

    Dress Code

Wear rubber-soled shoes (no heels please). Bring waterproofs and plenty of warm layers - it can get very cold out on the water. In warmer weather bring sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat. Life-jackets are provided and (for adults) waterproofs too.

Excellent boat trip, fun and informative, didn't mind that we didn't see any dolphins or whales! I would definitely go again, I loved viewing Falmouth from the sea.

I didn't hold out much hope of seeing any dolphins when booking the trip but was looking forward to the experience. So I was amazed when we were sat watching around 10 dolphins for over 45 minutes as soon as we left the harbour. It was a wonderful experience.

    Excellant Day Out

Our experience was fabulous. We were lucky enough too watched Bottlenosed dolphin for 40 minutes of the trip. Travelled along the beautiful Cornish coast to see Atlantic Grey Seals and many sea birds. The staff and crew were very friendly and informative, we were looked after very well. Highly recommend.

Taking the fact that you can never rely on wild animals, the 2 hours provided views of sea birds, seals and dolphins. The skill of the captain ensured that we remained in proximity to the dolphins for nearly half an hour and had the pleasure of seeing these animals swimming within touching distance.

    Excellent Experience

The weather could'nt have been better, although we did not see any dolphins or whales we did see seals and various sea birds! But have to say our guide was brilliant! His sense of humour and knowledge made up for the lack of wildlife. Would certainly recommend this experience to everyone.

    Best Ever!

Really good boat trip. We didn't see any dolphins and whales but saw some seals and the tour guide went all along the coast and to the reef rocks giving us history of the towns and shipwrecks etc. Dissapointed didn't see any dolphins but the trip was still good and enjoyed it.

    Fantastic Trip!

Had a fantastic boat trip, didn't see any whales or dolphins unfortunately but that didn't stop us from having a great time and seeing some other amazing wildlife.

We didn't see dolphins or whales but we did see basking sharks and some other sea life. The tour was lovely and the weather was fab! The tour guide was great and shared plenty of history about the areas we visited. If you want to get away from it all for a couple of hours and get some fresh air I would recommend this experience. We were given a Red Letter Day as a wedding present and chose this experience.

    Fantastic

This trip is definitely worth going on! I didn't get to see any dolphins or whales, but enjoyed the scenery and history given along the way. The area it is located in is also a bonus - there's so much to do! The town centre has great shopping and eating options and the museum you get the free ticket to is definitely worth a look at. Absolutely loved the weekend overall, can't wait to do it all over again. The staff are all friendly and make you feel very welcome, which makes the experience even more enjoyable.

Really enjoyed the day. Wrong time of year I suppose, we saw a seal but no dolphins. The guide was extremely enthusiastic which was infectious! The scenery was breathtaking and a really cool boat ride made it special.

It was an absolutely amazing day to go on the tour. The seas were calm and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. The tour guides were extremely enthusiastic and explained lots of wildlife around the Falmouth coastline and also other interesting points of interest. We'd go again in an instant!

We had a marvellous evening on the boat with 2 other couples ... we were looked after very well and our guide's knowledge was second to none. We saw a dolphin and were delighted, as it's not guaranteed. Spotting the floating dining chair was an added bonus! We'd do it again tomorrow if we could, as I now have a taste for speedy rides on boats!

    Wonderful Trip
