  • About

The herbivorous ring-tailed lemurs of Madagascar are unique among lemurs in their preference for living on the ground rather than in trees. This experience offers a rare chance to enjoy these critically endangered creatures at close hand. After complimentary refreshments in the Discovery Centre, head with a keeper to the ring-tailed lemur enclosure for a health and safety briefing. Then spend around fifteen minutes inside the enclosure, feeding these inquisitive animals as you become their personal climbing frame. One of the park team remains on hand to assist and to help capture photographs on your camera. The package also includes a souvenir t-shirt and a certificate each to take home.

    • Become members of the Animal Park team for a day
    • Enjoy these rare and endangered creatures at close hand
    • See the work that goes on behind the scenes at one of Britain's top wildlife parks
    • A momento t-shirt and certificate for each of you is included

The booking process was easy & everything on the day went great. The staff at Paradise Wildlife Park were really friendly & really knew their stuff about the Lemurs. It was such an amazing experience to feed the Lemurs - they were so friendly and so soft. It was crazy to have 4 climbing on you at once but fun. I would definitely recommend doing & would do it again!

My boyfriend and I had a brilliant time feeding lemurs. They're not scared of you at all, as soon as we got in with them they were climbing onto our shoulders trying to get at the food. They will eat out of your hand as well which was really nice, they seemed to like the apple best! There was about 9 of them in the enclosure and one baby who was really sweet. A member of staff comes in with you and is happy to take photos for you. The guy with us was really informative and told us lots about the zoo. I would definitely recommend!

We booked to feed the Ringtail Lemurs but when we arrive were told that due to a recent birth........2 hours before that we could not feed them and would be feeding other Lemurs, though we were disappointed as the Ringtail Lemurs are my hubby's favourite animal and it was his treat we still had a excellant time. The zoo keeper Neil was very infomative and made the experience complete.

My girlfriend got me this experience for my birthday and it was absolutely fantastic. We stayed in a hotel in Waltham Abbey which was lovely, good prices and only a short drive from the wildlife park. We arrived quite early as we wanted to have a look round before our experience. All the staff were very helpful and we were told where to go at what time. When we went over to wait for the keeper we were offered drinks and biscuits, and given our t-shirts and certificates. The keeper (Barry) was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He told us what to do and what not to do before taking us in with the food for the lemurs. We were in the enclosure for about 30 minutes; the lemurs were really excited and friendly. They were climbing all over us from the second we walked in and Barry took loads of great pictures on our camera. He then took us to another part of the park for one of the public cheetah feedings. Brilliant day and I highly recommend it.
