    Visit the French region of La Champagne, home to the world-famous tipple and understand the traditions and dedication that go into making some of the finest wines in the world. Stay for two nights in a three-star hotel with a bottle of champagne in the room to greet you. Get your days off to a satisfying start with a wonderful champagne buffet breakfast each morning. Join your tour guide and pick up some tasting tips before you visit some of the great champagne houses for a tour and tasting, and there's a tasty lunch at a champagne cellar to further tantalise your taste buds. You'll travel by luxury coach to and from Reims, crossing by ferry or shuttle making an eco-friendly trip (and boot space to take your favourite champagne home).

    Availability

    In 2012 trips run on 15 - 17 March, 5 - 7 May, 2 - 4 June, 20, 22, 27, 29 October. We recommend booking several months in advance as places are strictly limited.

    Participant Guidelines

    This experience involves drinking alcohol so you must be aged over 18. You need a valid passport and appropriate travel insurance (including emergency assistance). The champagne cellars and the coach do not offer wheelchair access.

    Weather

    Champagne has a continental climate and is generally a degree or two warmer throughout the year than the South of England.

    Duration

    Your trip will last for three days, normally either from Friday to Sunday or Saturday to Monday.

    There will be up to 36 people on the tour.

    The dress code is smart casual.

    Arranged by a fully bonded tour operator, details of the bonding are provided at time of booking. More environmentally friendly than air, travel by coach was chosen to keep transfers simpler and so you can bring back lots of champagne at no extra cost.
