I Smiled From Start To Finish
I booked horse riding for my mum's 50th birthday. We both have lots of riding experience. We arrived to the beautiful stable. Everyone was smiling and welcoming. We had an hour lesson, an hour in the countryside then a 2 hour home cooked lunch. This was followed by another ride in the lovely land and roads surrounding the stables. My mum and i had a fantastic day and I would recommend this to anyone, beginner or experienced. We are definitely going back.
Just What I Needed To Get Me Back In The Saddle!
The day was wonderful. Having not ridden for over a year I was full of nerves but all of the staff at the stables were reassuring & before long the nerves had gone & I was all smiles. We were in a group of eight, four of us had ridden before & four had never ridden, the stables tailored everything so we all got the best out of our day. A wonderful experience I would highly recommend.
A Great Experience For A Novice Rider!
A great day out, where staff and instructors made us feel extremely welcome so that we could excel in our lesson. An experience that has made me want to take riding lessons.
My wife had ridden some years before and soon got back into the swing of things. I had never ridden and was, to be honest, totally petrified, however within moments of starting I was feeling comfortable. During the afternoon we went on a group ride and to be able to ride for one and half hours unaided was a fantastic feeling. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone from novice to experienced.
This was truly a great day. The staff are brilliant, friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, asking if our horses were ok and making sure we were happy at all times. The lunch was a big surprise, served in a lovely dining room which made it very friendly and relaxed and gave us the opportunity to get to know people. The food was perfect, as we had to ride again aferwards it was light and satisfying and we were constantly asked if we wanted any more. All in all it was a perfect day.
Based in a beautiful area of countryside, with really friendly instructors, and absolutely gorgeous horses. A perfect taster for beginners and refresher for those with previous experience. Easy to get to, by public transport or car. Offers B&B in an exquisite house that will make you want to live there!
The experience started very well with a friendly welcome. We were shown around, and able to wander around the stables to meet the horses. Good guidance given before actual riding started. Lessons were fun and instructive and we felt that in a short time we progressed very quickly due to good tuition. Lovely ride in the countryside with a mixture of walking and trotting accompanied by chatty, friendly leaders. Pleasant lunch followed by another ride. The owner took an active part in our whole Red Letter Days experience and seemed intent on making the whole day a memorable one. We enjoyed the day very much and left with plenty of good memories.
The stables took our experiences of riding into full consideration. Our instructor Jo was very helpful and was extremely good with both beginners and experienced riders. Lunch was very nice and tasty and we were all very full by the end of 3 courses! We were made to feel very much at home, especially lunch in the kitchen - fantastic! Mark our second instructor was very lovely and informative and my friend and I both thoroughly enjoyed our day - and the weather stayed fine too! We are definitely going to go back after such a fab day's riding - even though our bums and legs are still hurting!
Perfect For Horsey Or Unhorsey!
The stables were really welcoming ... both of us were clueless but had a great lesson and a couple of walks out. Homely lunch and much needed rest, then another ride. If you don't ride it's a brilliant intro, if you do ride this place has loads to offer.
Best Birthday I've Ever Had
Best birthday I have ever had, enjoyed every moment of it from start to finish. It's a great day out in the countryside, where you are experienced horse rider or not. I achieved lots of firsts on my experience day, and these I will always remember. The achievements I made will take me through my horse trek charity challenge in the Andes. Thank you Red Letter Days for a perfect birthday with lots of memories.
An hour's lesson with an excellent instructor; an hour's 'hack' (a walk through the stables' 400 acres of countryside) with one of the stable assistants (the legendary Bruce), an hearty home-cooked lunch as the guests of the stable owner, and another hour's hack. We must do it again!
My sister and I had a fantastic time and enjoyed our day out very much. The staff were friendly, funny and very helpful, the horses were amazing and very well behaved. This is the second time I have used Red Letter Days to book an experience, it just gets better and better! THANK YOU!!!
A Gift I Will Long Remember
My partner and I greatly enjoyed the experience and were already saying how much we would love to do it again as we were leaving. The food was good, the surroundings beautiful, the people involved friendly and helpful. The hack was the piece de resistance! It was a gift from a friend that I will long remember.
One Of The Best Days Of My Life
I had a great time and couldn't believe how quickly I picked it up after 6 years of not riding. My boyfriend had not ridden before and thought it would be easy, he now knows how much hard work it is. We both thoroughly enjoyed the day and our mounts Hippo and Barney were fab, we are now paying for it as we are very sore!! :) I will definitely be recommending it, thank you.
Loads of time in the saddle, everyone at the stables was truly lovely, experienced riders really able to push themselves (and the not so experienced learning a LOT). A wonderful day that culminated in my boyfriend standing under my horse, asking me to marry him!!
The Most Enjoyable Day Of My Life
The whole day was fantastic. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome. Our day started with a riding lesson which was well needed on my part, as I did not have a clue, but after an hour or so I felt confedent enough to go for a ride in woods. The most fun I have had in a long while.
Highly recomended. The horses are safe and the staff were friendly and experienced. The hacking area was outstanding. A fun day out.
