  • About

Enjoy a fishing adventure in one of the most beautiful rural areas of England and Europe's largest fishing lake. In a fully-equipped lakeside fishing cabin, learn all about the fishing tackle, the flies used, what, when and how to fish them, how to read the water and how to cast a fly. Then put the coaching into practise and fly fish for trout from the lakeside bank. Rules permit fishers to take a maximum of two fish home (prepared and packed). Rutland Water has approximately 26 miles of shoreline, covering 3,500 acres and is Europe's premier trout fishing lake, where the trout are not too easy to catch but the quality of the fish is world class. Light refreshments and a certificate are included.

    • Learn the graceful art of fly fishing
    • Soak up the peaceful surroundings of Europe's largest trout fishing lake
    • Take home up to two fish
    • And if there is no catch, take home a certificate
