Throwing yourself out of a plane at 10,000 feet might be considered utter madness. Reassure friends who think you are mad that you'll be attached to an expert instructor (literally) throughout the jump. It begins with around an hour of instruction on skydiving and landing techniques, before you go up in the plane. You'll be securely harnessed to your instructor, who will help you jump from the plane. You'll get about 30 seconds of freefall, which is so completely incredible there's no point in us trying to describe it. Then your instructor will open the parachute and control your descent while you admire the view and try to come to terms with the adrenaline rush.

- Freefall for 30 mind-blowing seconds
- Then your instructor will open the chute, and you'll float serenely to earth

Availability

Weekends and some weekdays, they also operate on bank holidays. The venue is closed from mid December to the first week of March annually. We recommend booking several weeks in advance, even earlier for summer weekend dates.

Participant Guidelines

Maximum fully clothed weight is 15 stone. Minimum height 4' 6''. Minimum age 16. Under 18s need written parental consent. Aged 40 and over MUST get their BPA medical form signed by a doctor. Forms to be handed in on the day.

Weather

The jump itself is subject to weather conditions and cancellations for this reason are made with your safety in mind. Please call the centre around 5.30pm the day before your booking to check the weather.

Duration

How long you'll be there depends on the weather and the number of participants on the day. Please expect to be at the venue for anything from several hours to a full day, including some waiting time.

Numbers On Day

Your training might be shared, your jump will be one-to-one with a fully qualified skydiver.

Spectators

Spectators are welcome, but please note that covered space and facilities are limited if the weather's bad. Get them to bring a camera and binoculars.

Dress Code

Dress warmly and comfortably and wear trainers, NOT hard boots. Jump suits and all other equipment will be provided.

Wow! Could not have been any better! Me and my partner loved every single moment....the booking was easy, the guys art the airfield were brilliant, made us feel comfortable and relaxed....the jump itself was TRULY AMAZING!!!! loved every minute and would definitely do it again! Amazing Rush

Excitement combined with nerves while climbing 10,000 ft to throw yourself out of a plane doesn't amount to the adrenaline rush when your falling. An amazing experience and well worth the wait. The video came out very clear and a BIG thank you to the instructors and to the staff for being so much fun. Especially to ash for letting me wear that hiddious hat.

What a buzz! The ultimmate adrenaline rush! The instructors where friendly, funny and made me and my partner feel at ease. There was some waiting time but well worth it! The only way to understand the buzz is to try it yourself! I would recomend this to any one. Enjoy!

This has to be the ultimate adrenaline rush, you leave a perfectly good aeroplane 10,000ft up, you freefall from 10,000ft to 5,000ft in 30 seconds at nearly 120mph, then if that's not a rush enough they open the parachute... and you can begin to relax and enjoy the view and float gently down to earth.

This we one of the best experiences I have had. Would defo recomend this to anyone. The airfield was easy to find, had lots of friendly staff, the instrutors were friendly, funny, and easy to understand. My fiance did the jump too and we both can't wait to go back. Our spectators had a great day too. :-)

I would recommend this to anyone. I cannot express what it feels like to fall out of a plane and you do feel very safe. The staff at Skydive London made us feel so welcome and at ease when doing the jump, we had a great day.
