  • About

The Honda Formula 4-Stroke championship is the most exciting offshore powerboat series in the world - these boats are responsive, manoeuvrable and so fast that they fly over the surface. You'll start off with a safety briefing and an introduction to the boat; then it's time to get changed into your safety gear and racing team kit. You'll head out onto Southampton water with an expert driver, usually a current or veteran racer, who'll put the boat through her paces while you hang on tight. You'll get tuition in how to handle the boat and then about 15 minutes hands-on driving (at the skipper's discretion). The boat operates within Southampton Water and (weather permitting) out onto the Solent.

    • Blow the cobwebs to kingdom come with a high-speed powerboat ride
    • Hang on tight while your expert driver shows you what the boat can do
    • Have a go at driving the boat on open water
    • Safety briefing and all equipment included

We had great fun hitting the waves! our Skipper was great. It does say on the website, that people can spectate, however all they can see if you leave and return, there is nowhere for them to spectate when you are out on the water.

We couldn't wipe the grins off our faces as we experienced the sheer speed of flying across the water. And the bumps were great fun too. Lovely expert driver. Had a wild time - and wild hair!

The guys running this were brilliant. Loads of time was given to actually driving the boat though just riding in the back was an experience in itself!

It was an excellent afternoon. I have no sight and my partner has some partial vision. The skipper raised no concerns about this and ensured we took as much an active part as our other companions. We were able to steer with accurate guidance from the skipper and we went at the same speed 50MPH as the others. We were made to feel included as anyone else would, which is full credit to our skipper. It was such a wonderful experience!
