About

We've all heard of William Shakespeare, but how much do we really know about him, his life, his work and the place where his characters came to life? Come and get a unique insight into his world with a guided tour of the world famous Shakespeare's Globe Theatre. Your experienced guide will fill you in on a variety of aspects of Shakespeare's life and his fascination and success in writing over 35 theatre productions - many of which are still performed at the Globe today. Then move onto the newly refurbished exhibition to view the costumes of some of his characters, find out how special effects have been created, view the musical instruments played throughout the performances and even learn how the globe was re-built. Complete your afternoon and unwind with a selection of teas and infusions, a delicious range of sandwiches and freshly baked cakes and scones at the in-house bar.
