Weather
Flying is weather dependent and it is crucial that you call the weather line (after 7.30am please) on the day of your flight. The Stampe is an vintage open-cockpit plane and certain weather conditions may result in your flight being rescheduled.
Duration
Expect to be on site for at least an hour and your flight will last for 30 minutes (from chocks-off to chocks-on). Please arrive a few minutes before your flight time to be kitted out and briefed.
Numbers On Day
Your briefing may be shared, but only you and your qualified pilot will be in the aircraft during your flight.
Spectators
Spectators (including well behaved, supervised children and pets) are welcome. There is an airport restaurant which guests are welcome to use. A camera (not permitted when airborne) and a pair of binoculars will come in handy.
Dress Code
Stampes have open cockpits, so wrap up warm. Wear soft-soled shoes, bring sunglasses and if you have long hair, something to tie it back with. Flying kit (jacket, headset and helmet) will be provided.
Other Info
We suggest a light meal a few hours before your flight but please don't drink alcohol (heavy food and alcohol can make you nauseous during a flight). This vintage aircraft is scrupulously maintained and serviced to ensure your safety.
