  • About

Start with a comprehensive briefing and chat through specific requirements with your instructor so the flight can be tailored to what you want (and how brave you feel). Then don a Biggles-style flying jacket before climbing into the cockpit of a vintage 1930s Stampe SV4 aircraft (a classic Belgian version of the English Tiger Moth) and the model you'll fly in has been lovingly restored. Feel the rush of the wind from the open cockpit as your pilot puts the plane through a breathtaking aerobatic sequence (subject to weather conditions and at the pilot's discretion). If you take the controls yourself, discover the sensation that has made generations of flyers fall in love with these great little planes. Receive a flight certificate to take home.

    • Recreatea vintage era of aviation in a Stampe SV4
    • Feel the rush of the wind in the open cockpit
    • Enjoy an amazing aerobatic flying sequence
    • A loop and a victory roll can turn your world upside down
    • Take the controls with the expert supervision of your instructor

Stampes have open cockpits, so wrap up warm. Wear soft-soled shoes, bring sunglasses and if you have long hair, something to tie it back with. Flying kit (jacket, headset and helmet) will be provided.

    Other Info

My flight with Tiger Airways was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Myself and my family were made extremely welcome in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The flight was superb, I thought I was going to be nervous but Tizi was a brilliant pilot who made me feel secure and relaxed, the stunts were tremendous. It was an exhilirating experience that I would highly recommend to anyone!

My first time in a biplane and I got to take control for much of the flight and then do a loop, roll and spin (obviously the pilot was in control for those). Wonderful flight, I had a great time.

Great bunch of people at the airfield, very professional but totally relaxed. They made it a very enjoyable experience throughout.
