  • About

Begin with a familiarisation briefing of the juggernaut and its controls, followed by the theory of changing gear using a splitter gearbox (not always easy for a novice). When you have reached this monster's top gear, (at least 10th or maybe 16th!) it's time to try reversing. The 1-2-1 course details can be varied to suit individual requirements, allowing participants to choose to spend more time practicing reversing techniques rather than mastering the splitter gearbox, or learning how to hitch and un-hitch a trailer. Time with the juggernaut and trailer can be tailored accordingly to make it truly exclusive and help ensure you get the most from your experience.

    • Start with a briefing and familiarisation
    • Drive a 430HP articulated lorry, complete with 45ft box trailer
    • Negotiate slaloms, roundabouts and try your hand at reversing
    • Ends with debrief and certificate presentation

Had no idea of this day as was surprised birthday gift. Totally thrilled to have a chance to drive the juggernaut, as my late Dad used to. Thinking of a career change now, follow in my Dad's footsteps, perhaps look forward to a Ferrari day next. Many thanks Alan

Fulfilled a lifetime's ambition and drove a juggernaut! A pity the experience was only an hour, though, as by the end I was just starting to feel a little more confident. Would have happily spent a bit more for a longer experience.

    Really Good Fun

A great experience! I had been looking forward to this drive for quite a while and I was not disappointed. My instructor made everything clear and straightforward and helped me get the most out of the drive. I would heartily recommend it.

I bought this for my husband. All I told him was that I had a surprise. He kept guessing and when we got there, he was completely stunned. He had a wonderful time and he now wants his own truck!!! The instructor was excellent and very informative. Well worth the 3 hour drive to get there.

The biggest challenge was the climb into the cab, after that things got easier. I now have the greatest respect for drivers of enormous lorries, how do they do it and keep their sanity? My instructor was outstanding, Mr. Cool never raised his voice and gave instructions that one obeyed without question even though I thought 'What me go through there?' Highly recommended.

Lived Up To All Hopes And Expectations - And More!

Artic driving has been my ambition for a long time and when the opportunity came, it was everything I had hoped for - exciting, challenging, instructive and fulfilling! Jason, the instructor at Manby Motorplex, was fantastic - he really added to the experience! My mum and daughter rode with me and they thought it was brilliant too - both of them came away wanting their own turn at driving a huge vehicle! My only regret was that my husband, who bought me the Red Letter Day for my birthday, was unable to come along with us due to work commitments. But I have the video footage on the chip to show him, which will hopefully give him a flavour of the day as well as bringing back all the fabulous memories to me every time I watch it! I would recommend this experience to anyone who loves driving, and I would love to do it again - tomorrow!
