  • About

Built in 1911, The Middlesbrough Transporter Bridge is the UK's first ever bungee jumping site. On arrival, get weighed and issued with a back- up harness before tackling an epic 210 step climb to the top of the bridge. Once at the top, walk 150 feet along to the jump zone and admire incredible views of the surrounding area whilst contemplating the descent. After some thorough safety checks and choice words of wisdom, take a giant leap towards the River Tee's before the bungee rope stretches to its limit and pings back towards the sky. After a few repetitions, get carefully lowered to a waiting speed boat. Once back on firm ground, pick up a certificate as a memento of this incredible experience.

    • A full harness bungee jump from 160ft
    • The only bridge jump in the UK
    • All equipment, safety checks and bungee club membership included
    • Options to buy a dvd of your jump on the day, photographs and t-shirts

Great Experience From Start To Finish ...

Excellent day ... The UK Bungee Club are a lovely bunch of people who made me feel at ease from first stepping into the harness to getting out of the boat once it was all over .. I was made to feel very safe ... The checks are made several times over and the guys at the top of the bridge are very reassuring and their humour kept everyone in good spirits. I hate heights, I hate heights so much that I can't even climb a small ladder but I didn't once feel scared, a wee bit nervous maybe but the atmosphere amongst the other jumpers made it do much easier. I can't even begin to explain the feeling as you jump off the edge, in fact, I'm not even going to try to explain it, it's something to experience for yourself. Let's just say that I would've done it again and again and again! All round fab, fab time.

The bridge bungee was definitely one of the greatest experiences of my life. The jump was a birthday present so my excitement had been building for a couple of weeks. The Middlesbrough crew were brilliant, and made you feel really safe and secure whilst getting on board with everyone's excitement. I'd definitely recommend the Red Letter Days bridge bungee experience to anyone seeking an adrenaline rush. Amazing!
