Doesnt matter what age you are if you like anything British or artistic or scientific, this is also for you. The Wedgewood family have made this into a possible all day place to visit and the live demonstrators were amazing to watch. The quality of customer service is outstanding and the gift was beautiful. My only criticism would be if you don't have a sat nav make sure you take a paper map with you as not the easiest to find.

The organisation of the day was excellent; the tour of the visitor centre gave a good insight into the complexity of the various processes involved in the creation of the exquisite china and pottery. The opportunity to decorate a plate under the friendly guidance of the Wedgwood expert was great fun. The Wedgwood Museum is beautifully set out giving a very clear account of the remarkable Josaiah Wedgwood who combined creative flair, business acumen and a scientific approach to production. On display is a rich variety of the pottery and china manufactured by the company from its foundation until the 1990s. I was there from 10.00a.m until 4.30p.m and could happily have spent longer browsing in the museum and shop. Altogether a very enjoyable and interesting day.

This experience was brilliant from start to finish. The staff were so attentive and knowledgeable and the day was very well organised. Throwing a pot was great fun and John was so helpful. Lunch was exquisite and the presents were even better than I had imagined! I would certainly recommend this experience to anyone and everyone.

From the moment I was recognised as a Red Letter recipient till my departure I was made to feel extra special. The staff were polite, helpful and went out of their way to make the day relaxing and enjoyable. From the receptionists, restuarant staff and particularly the potter John nothing was to much trouble. I was able to make a small pot mainly by myself with the expert advice from John. The introductory coffee and shortcake and the tasty and fresh lunch were excellent. The museum left us gasping to find new superlatives with each new exibition. All in all a wonderful four and half hours.

    Excellent Memorable Experience

I hadn't used a potter's wheel since I was at school and wanted to relive some very happy childhood memories - I wasn't disappointed! Luckily the clay was centered on the wheel for me (so no repeat of the school days mishap of incorrectly positioned clay flying round the room). The instructor was patient and understanding and I am proud to say I created a vase that will take pride of place as a souvenir of the day. The food was excellent and the staff couldn't do enough for us. We were made to feel special and not many places do that these days - Well done Wedgwood!!

The whole experience was great. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the lunch was exceptional. I enjoyed throwing a pot and look forward to receiving it in about 3 weeks time. My gift I will treasure as it will remind me of my Red Letter Day.

Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Really interesting to see how all the different processes are done. The Museum was amazing. Difficult to imagine how the company keeps coming up with so many different styles and patterns. I would recommend the day out to my friends and family.

A relaxing but exciting day from beginning to end. A great opportunity to learn the art and culture of Wedgwood and further, to have a chance to make a pot with assistance from an experienced potter. A great day to spend with friends, family or even on your own. Welcomed by cheerful and helpful staff, provided with a delicious two course meal and a gift from Wedgwood. What more can you ask for??

Excellent Day For Both Of Us

From the first moment we arrived at reception the service was first class, including a complimentary drink and cake. The factory tour was most informative and to see beautiful items being hand crafted in this day and age is a real eye opener. The pot throwing was a real crash course and straight in with both feet (or rather both hands!). Forming the various shapes on the wheel was actually less difficult than expected and enormous fun. Our creations arrived at home safe and sound well within the 3 week deadline. A fantastic day, thank you.

    Great Fun, Lots Of Activities

Wedgwood staff were very helpful, polite and attentive and made sure that I enjoyed all activities on offer, starting with tea and fresh shortbread, a gift and welcome letter, and tuition to make a pottery vase. The lunch was a special menu not available to other customers and was very tasty, freshly cooked and well presented. All the employees were happy to explain what they did and show different processes on the factory tour. The shops on site with special 'only available here' products were good for souvenirs. The films and exhibitions gave an interesting and comprehensive view of the history of the Wedgwood factory and individual designs.

    Very Enjoyable Day

Friendly staff, factory tour opened my eyes to pottery making, then came the chance to make my own and get it sent home for everyone to see. Great family day out for bored teenagers or oldies also!

An unusual and outstanding day's experience at Wedgwood where we were treated like royalty, from the driver who took us around the site, to the craftsmen we met in the factory who explained their work and techniques to us, then our lunch in the restaurant and afterwards throwing our own pots in the craft centre. A wonderful day.

The experience was excellent, particularly the staff at the visitor centre. Booking in was straightforward and they made us feel very special. The food was good and service friendly and personal. My general impression was that everyone at the centre appreciated the 'special occasion' aspect of the day.
