  • About

Wakeboarding is a sport so cool that lots of people have yet to learn about it. In fact it's the fastest growing watersport in the country. It's like a cross between water-skiing, snowboarding and surfing. You're pulled across the water by hanging onto a cable, but unlike water-skiing, you're attached to a single wide board and it's also a bit slower. So it's perfect for anyone who wants to try a new sport and doesn't mind getting wet! After a full safety briefing, you'll be on the water and round the cable. Start off knee-boarding which will help you get to grips with the basics and put the theory into practice. Once you get to grips with the challenge of turning corners, expect to be riding high.

    • Try wakeboarding, the fastest growing watersport in the country
    • Huge adrenaline rush and sheer fun skimming across the water
    • Simple to learn and a great laugh from the word go
    • Full safety briefing and all equipment included
    • Getting wet completely unavoidable!

I had loads of fun with my first attempt at wakeboarding. Started off with knee boarding then onto the wakeboard. Its addictive so I will be going again..... The staff at WakeMK are ace, a top venue for a great day out.

I had a great time wake-boarding, its great fun and something completely different to anything I've tried before. The staff were also very friendly. Only problem was that there was a mix up of times, the website said 12pm start but it was meant to be 1pm.

    Really Good Fun

What a great experience. Although i bottled going on the proper wakeboard and stuck to the knee board, it was still great fun but hard work. Be prepared to get a real buzz but to ache the next day.

The whole experience was fantastic, the staff were wonderful and really encouraging and gave me feedback how to improve every attempt at standing up. By the end of the session I could stand up and ride for a short way. I will definitely be going back and be taking friends. The day was extreamly fun including all the failed attempts!

    Top Day All Round

Started off on kneeboards which was great fun and not to difficult to get the hang of. Getting started on the Wakeboard was a whole different kettle of fish! Spent a lot of time going face first into the water. The teachers were good and gave lots of advice and encouragement on how to get going. All in all a great day....anyway if you didnt spend any time going face first into the water and catching fish in your mouth, you missed half the fun....

    Excellent Day, Tiring But Exiting!

Really good fun albeit a bit tiring at times, but the feeling that you want to 'not fall off', 'get round the corner', 'stand up' etc keeps you going. All the people were friendly and helpful, both staff and visitors.

Well Organised And Good Customer Service

Very well looked after with informative and patient instructors. Not really enough time to get the hang of both kneeboards and then wakeboards but good fun trying anyhow. Never too old to try things like this! Throroughly good day.

Well organised, well run, good equipment and slick set up - this venue and experience was spot on. The instructor was clearly experienced in the sport and had a great way of encouraging you to succeed. I managed to get up first go and really had a great day - thanks.

    Matt S, 12 Jul 2009

A great day, really relaxed environment, excellent professional tuition with great one to one support should you need it if you struggle to get to grips with it to begin with! Would definitely go back and bring my friends and have another wicked day out! These types of things can sometimes be quite boring with a lot of time being spent on health and safety, but the emphasis here was about getting in the water!

    Absolutely Thrilling

It was a really enjoyable experience, and one I would definitely consider doing again. I was made to feel very welcome, and the tuition was great.

An exhausting and exhilarating experience - my arms ached for days after, not to mention my sore throat with all that shouting. The family enjoyed watching me make a prat of myself however, while practising on the knee boards, I almost made it around the course - it is harder to do than you think. Can't wait to get out there and do it again! Cheers.

Brilliant Afternoon, Would Love To Do Again

    Rob P, 28 Jun 2008

The operation was smooth; my skills were not. Nevertheless I did almost manage a full lap on the kneeboard, before attempting the wakeboard. I never quite managed takeoff, but came soooo close on my third attempt before deciding to rest my now aching limbs. The instructors were kind, and the camaraderie with the other victims great. Give me 2 years in the gym or a time machine to rewind 20 years and "I'll be back".

    Very satisfied
