The distinctive orange-gold and black striped coat of the tiger makes it one of the most popular big cats. Unfortunately poachers love them too, particularly for the tiger bone which is used in traditional Asian medicines. This, along with loss of natural habitat, has put tiger survival in crisis. It's not too late to help the remaining wild tigers though, and by adopting one you help safeguard its future. But before you rush out and buy a bell for its collar, remember your tiger is much better off in its natural environment, so we'll send you an animal fact booklet, photograph of your adopted animal, animal screensaver and green tips information. Plus when the adoption is activated you will receive a personalised certificate and newsletter by email, so that you can chart your animal's progress and other projects WWF are involved with. You'll even get a cuddly toy - much safer than the real thing!
