About

Rally driving occupies a unique place in the motorsport world. It's fast, furious and often seems barely in control. Well, find out for yourself behind the wheel of a superb specially-prepared rally car. Discover the secrets of skid control, break control, and up and over steer techniques on a special loose or tarmac rally stage. Your experience begins with a short safety briefing followed by familiarisation laps, driven by a qualified instructor. Then you'll take the wheel of your fearsome vehicle on a tarmac rally or gravel stage, to put your new skills into action with your instructor encouraging you all the way.

Awesome Fun

Cracking way to spend a morning with an instructor who was a great teacher and evidently loved his work. Everyone at the centre was really friendly and made sure all participants had an awesome time. The fact that we all walked away with ear-to-ear grins showed that their job was done! I could have sat there power-sliding around all day if I'd have been allowed - the experience will be responsible for me spending lots of money on either doing more of this, or trading in my car for a suitable rear-wheel drive motor to be trying this closer to home! Highly recommended to anyone thinking about buying this experience.

Brilliant Experience

The rally course was really well put together at Silverstone and was a thrill from beginning to end. The techniques taught and the opportunity to drive a rally car on a loose surface at what felt like speed was great. Any nerves were easily dispelled by the tutor. Warmly recommended.

How Exciting!!!

Had a fantastic day.....very, very exciting. Was a little nervous when I got there but once I was behind the wheel, I gave it my all and loved every minute of it! Thanks to the lovely instructor.

Excellent Day Out, Great Fun For Everyone

An excellent day out, it was enjoyed by everyone, even the spectators. Superb service by all the staff - all very friendly and polite. My rally instuctor was a very good teacher and made me look like a pro rally driver. Then theres the car's performace which was mind blowing and the only time a young lad like me will get to drive a Subaru Impreza - the only problem now is I want one! Well worth it for the money.

I Just Knew I Could Be A Professional Rally Driver

An amazing experience. The staff at Red Letter Days were excellent and friendly. I received a txt the day before to remind me to check the weather and to enjoy the day - it's just the little things that make it even more special. Andy at the rally school was friendly and fantastic. He was very down to earth and I felt comfortable immediately, I soon mastered those hand brake turns!! Thank you.

Had A Great Day!

The rally driving was amazing! Thought it was good that you got a passenger ride before you drove so they could give you some pointers for when you drove. Also so you could see what it was like from inside of the car. However I feel a bit more tuition was needed. Location was great, it was good that friends and family could come along and watch.

Would Love To Have Another Go!

Andy the instructor was really great - gave you loads of great instruction before hand which he kept interesting and not boring and when your behind the wheel he was really enthusiastic and egged you on to go as fast as possible. My fiance who came with me and bought the experience for me even got to have a ride around the lap for an extra additional charge of 10 pounds which was well worth it if you ask me. I would love to have another go it was amazing.

Key Info

Availability: Selected Saturdays and occasional weekdays in Leicestershire and Staffordshire and Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (with at least one date per month throughout the year) in Northamptonshire.

Participant Guidelines: In Leicestershire, min height is 5'0'', max 6'3'' and max weight 17 stone. In Northants and Staffs max height 6'6'' and max weight is 18 stone. You need a full British or international manual driving licence which you'll need to produce on day.

Weather: Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions which would make driving at speed dangerous.

Duration: Your experience will last between 20 and 60 minutes in total, including briefings, demonstation and driving time. Please arrive up to 15 minutes in advance of your start time to ensure a prompt start.

Numbers On Day: There'll be a maximum of six or seven people per instructor. Briefings can be held in groups of up to thirty.

Spectators: Spectators are welcome to join you and venues offer a view of some of the action. Children must be closely supervised at all times.

Dress Code: Wear trousers, a long-sleeved shirt and flat-soled shoes (i.e. avoid chunky footwear). Any special equipment will be provided. You are welcome to bring your own helmet if you have one (it will be tested by the instructor).
