This has probably already been said before, but this experience really is exhilarating! I got to use all controls and effectively fly on my own over Dorking! Helicopter piloting is really involving, all your hands and feet are constantly doing something. For a first time experience, i was told i did pretty well. The hardest thing is The Hover when you get all controls! Still great fun though and I would happily do this again! If I win the lottery, I'm definitely paying to get my PPL! Highly recommended for people looking to achieve something new and different!

It was great. Exactly what it said on the tin. The weather was clear and sunny with brilliant visibillity, just what one needs when flying, and thank you for arranging that too. Having found out that I had flown a helicopter previously - not solo and not for about 30 years! - the pilot allowed me to be very 'hands on' which made it all the more fun. Many thanks for a great Red Letter Day, it certainly was.

I have always wanted to fly in a helicopter, and for my first Christmas present as a married man my wife bought me this experience. Paul at Sloane in Sywell was first class. As a result of this experience i have now made the decision to persue my PPL(H) with them.

This was a gift for my son. The instructor was very good and my son enjoyed the flight. He was able to take control within a few minutes of take off. He now wants to take more lessons with a view to getting his pilots licence .

All in all had a fantastic first flight. Paul the instructor was easy to get on with and an excellent pilot. He made it look so easy. Fantastic expericence, makes you want to have another go. I would definitely recommend it.

From the moment I arrived at the airfield I was made to feel welcome, making my birthday even more special. The pilot was brilliant, really friendly and kept me informed as to what was happening all the time. The weather and scenery made it all the more spectacular. It was an incredible experience and one I'd love to repeat.

Had a great day - even though my flight didn't take off until an hour after it was meant to - luckily we didn't have firm plans for the rest of the day.The instructor (Paul) was very good, explained how everything worked, and showed some of the other helicopters in the hangar beforehand. All in all a brilliant birthday present.

This is something everybody should try, especially being able to take the controls yourself and knowing that you are completely in safe hands with the very experienced pilot. With all these types of experiences most people are a bit nervous, well don't be on this one, it was very relaxed and fun. Hats of to my pilot, he was fantastic and certainly put the machine through its paces. This is one experience i will definitely be booking again. My only complaint is that it had to end!!!!! Excellent.Thank you Red Letter Days, and Sloane Helicopters, see you soon.

As my wife had previous experience of flying fixed wing aircraft, the helicopter experience was a real eye-opener for her! The instructor was extremely good humoured and gave her a real chance of a hands-on experience. She arrived back with a huge grin on her face and declared that to "hover" was so difficult she now has such admiration for emergency 'copter pilots and I dare say she will be back to Redhill in the near future to try and learn to do it herself!! A very successful gift idea!

For someone who has a fear of flying, I was a little worried when my red letter day was given as a birthday present. I went to Redhill anyway hoping that this will cure my fear, and it did. What a great experience it was. My instructor was fantastic and put any fear aside and at ease. I took control for alot of the flight, which was great (and a little scary!). It was over to quickly. The only downside to the day was i wish we had an opportunity to take photos at the end of the flight in the helipcopter, but maybe i should have asked.

I would have loved to have been a helicopter pilot, but sadly didn't have the grades. The helicopter flight and opportunity to take the controls was the next best thing. I flew out of Headcorn and out to Leeds castle, the views were outstanding. I then flew backto Headcorn where pilot James hovered the helicopter a ROBINSON R22 just 6ft above the ground before giving me a chance to take control in the hover. Finally James the pilot did some pirouettes and demonstrated what the helicopter could do.Prior to takeoff I was given a very good briefing and explanation of the workings of the helicopter. The flight was 25 minutes but will stay with me a lifetime.

I had to reschedule my appointment with London helicopters the first time due to poor weather. While I was initially disappointed about this, it was a good call because the weather on the rescheduled date was perfect! My pilot did a wonderful job in making me feel comfortable and encouraged me to actually have a go at the controls of the helicopter! Overall, this was a fantastic experience. Credit to Red Letter Days for their excellent follow-up via email and txt messages. Thank you!
