Rowhill Grange Utopia Spa
We started our day with an energising gym session and after a lovely lunch spent the afternoon alternating between swimming leisurely in the lovely romanesque pool, relaxing in our robes and enjoying the wonderful therapy pool. The massage jets really do hit the spot. We were both refreshed and relaxed at the end of our spa day and will definitely be back for more. A hot stone massage beckons ....

The day began with a welcome from staff, locating our treats and eats. We ambitiously signed up for a Body Blitz session. Little did we know what we were getting into. With just two of us, the instructor pushed us beyond our expectations while postive praising us all the way. Despite the sweat and aches at the end, we felt a sense of achievement. This was followed by short restful time in the quiet room. After a short rest we went for lunch and ate food fit for a queen. We accompanied this with glass of bubbly and chatted for England. After feeling fit to burst from the delights of the kitchen we headed to the pools. Time flew by as dipped into all the pools ending up in the Jacuzzi. Despite the rain we decided to make a dash outside to the hot tub. Relaxing in style we felt like royalty before ending the day with a spa treatment. We left the spa in a relaxed, mellow state not knowing quite where all the hours had gone but we made an agreement to definitely return.

The Balmoral Hotel
Had a very pleasant relaxing day in the spa. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed 'doing nothing' for a day.

Was desperately in need of some relaxation and this certainly did the trick! Easy to book through red letter days and lovely hospitable venue. Had never been for one of these days before as I wasn't sure what to expect but now definitely feel that I've been missing out! Top quality day, thank you!

Rowhill Grange Utopia Spa
Rowhill Grange is a cute looking hotel inside a very nice garden. The SPA is small but cosy. We went on a weekday so it wasn't very crowded. Lunch was tasty and fresh. The only thing missing from this package was a beauty treatment to complete the day, so we got ourselves one. On the day we arrived, the therapy pool was out of order. However, we have been given a free pass for another visit which we will surely use. If you want to have an escape from the city with just 1 hour drive, I can certainly suggest this option.

From the moment we left the car we had walked into a parallel universe of luxury and decadence!! We were greeted by a very polite porter who directed us in the right direction and wished us an enjoyable day and from there on all staff were very professional and subservient- just what you would expect from such an experience!! the surroundings complimented their behaviour and the ensemble made for a relaxing atmosphere in which we could unwind and enjoy! Lunch continued in the same vein and we were spoilt by produce and service. The afternoon led to more of the same and by the time we donned our clothes to head back out into the real world we were both detoxed of our worries and ready to face anything!!! Thank you fo providing such experiences- i certainly will be rebooking in the very near future!

My sister and I had a very relaxing day but was disapointed that the fruit juice you used to get is now just water with some fruit added to it. Lunch excellent and staff in spa and serving lunch very good

Helpful and friendly staff welcomed us to the Spa. Its a very relaxing space with clean and well maintained areas. We were able to thoroughly relax and enjoy our pamper day. The food was good and they offer a wide range of treatments to compliment your spa experience. We would definitely recommend it!

We arrived on a crisp and snowy morning and it was wonderful to step into the warmth of the spa. The staff were friendly taking our details and our menu choices for lunch. The Spa is pretty and we had a relaxing morning. The only hitch was lunch as it arrived 50 mins late and we had to ask the receptionists to reschedule the treatements we had booked. This was my second visit and I would suggest avoiding Sunday as our lunch was definitely not to it's usual high standard. The treatements are expensive but well worth it. I would recommend the Hot Stones massage Lovely spa - would like to see a treatement included in the offer

My boyfriend and I had a really relaxing wind down time on our spa day. We booked a treatment (which is extra) for each other which we both enjoyed them. The lunch is very nice too. We would certainly recommend this spa day offer to others or we will book another one soon!!!

A spa day with my new wife was a gift from a friend. Rowhill had really splendid staff, helpful and smiling, now a spa isn't something I'd usually go for but we spent the day messing about in the three pools and feeling throughly relaxed, great fun!

Alexander House Spa was exactly what I needed to kick those January Blues. The reception staff who greet and show you around the spa were extremely helpful and set the tone for our relaxing day. We chose not to book any treatments but I don't think that affected our day in any way as there is plenty of things to do or not if you wish to just laze by the pool. We were shown around the gym and given a list of classes that were on throughout the day if you did decide you wanted to do something active but in our case our trainers didn't make it out of our bags. We spent the morning relaxing on loungers around the indoor pool which is dimly lit and really sets a relaxing atmosphere, in the sauna and steam room which are located in the changing area and then in the outdoor hot tub. After our gorgeous two course lunch we spent the afternoon in the quiet room reading and relaxing on the leather day beds they have which look out onto the grounds. I would definitely recommend this experience!
