Lotus Elise Thrill

Three Sisters is the perfect track for the Elise and I was fortunate enough to arrive on a warm sunny day. After an informative and humourous briefing we all assembled on the pit wall for helmet fitting and much drooling over the Aston, Ferrari, Lotus and Porsche line up. Groups of 3 were despatched to Mini Coopers to be driven round by the resident Stigs who explained the brake and turn in positions. After 3 hairy laps I was first up in the Elise. The Elise is everything you read about, quick, nimble and grips to tarmac like a jack russell on a postman's leg. After a couple of laps I'd found most of the lines and was squeezing all I could out of the accelerator and brake pedals. This misplaced confidence caught me out on lap 8 when I was a bit early on the power out of turn 7 and the backend got a bit lively. I will definitely be back for more!

Had a great time and a lot of laughs as my wife filmed the Racing driver in the Lotus then me, as you can imagine it looked like I was going at a snail's pace when in fact I was travelling pretty fast, the experience was fantastic and I would love to try it again and would recommend to my friends.

What a wonderful 60th birthday suprise my Red Letter Day at the 3 Sisters Race Track was. I have never enjoyed a drive as much in my 43 years behind the wheel. The sight of the super sports cars lined up in the car park when we arrived, combined with the unmistakeable 'throb' of high performance engines and the aroma of petrol fumes, meant I just couldn't wait for the experience to begin. Following a briefing where we received all the advice we needed from friendly, confident and inspiring instructors, a few laps with an instructor in a Mini Cooper was next, and then we were ready to go. I had a brilliant instructor and the drive in 'my' Elise was something I will never forget. My thanks to all the brilliant staff. Wonderful!

A gift that I will never forget, a great day out with family who enjoyed watching just as much as I did in the Lotus on the track. THRILLING is an understatement. Red Letter Days are a great gift for all ages.

Arrived at the venue with my 'audience' which was a bit embarrassing, but within minutes all the formalities were out of the way. My instructor had so much confidence in his ability that after a lap or two it rubbed off on me and I started to enjoy myself instead of worrying! The whole thing was a total buzz, thanks for a great morning, I'll be back!

From start to finish the quality of service was excellent, I thoroughly recommend Red Letter Days and I will be using you in the future - a superb gift for anyone.

This was a gift from my sister-in-law that was arranged at 1 day's notice. We arrived at Rockingham and everything was made even better by the organisation of the event. I felt like an eighteen year old again. (However it was a struggle to get in and out of the Lotus Elise. Old age creeping in.) Once again many thanks!

Enjoyable experience, something special to celebrate my 50th birthday, something to always now be able to say that I have done. It was quite entertaining for the family watching me trying to get in and out of the car, I didn't realise it would be that small or low down! Thank you for the experience !
