    All the G-force, adrenaline and squint-eyed terror of competition-speed driving, without the worry of taking the wheel yourself. You'll be chauffeured for between two and six laps at breathless speed by a qualified motor racing instructor around a real racing circuit. The make of car will depend on which circuit you choose and availability; you could ride in an MGZR, Caterham, Lotus Elise or another type of hot hatch. Whichever it is on the day, you'll get the ride of your life: real racing lines, cornering and acceleration in top-class race-prepared cars.

    Availability

    Passenger rides are available at most locations at least once a week. Generally you can't pre-book a start time, but instead enter your name on a rota and wait your turn.

    Participant Guidelines

    Restrictions vary; as a rule you must be over 4'6'' to 4'10'' and under 6'4'' tall. Maximum weight is 16 - 17 stone. Minimum age is usually 16, under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. Some centres require over 50s to produce a doctor's certificate.

    Weather

    Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions which would make driving at speed dangerous. Please call the venue if in any doubt.

    Duration

    Your ride will last for a few minutes, between two and six laps depending on the venue.

    Numbers On Day

    It'll just be you and the driver in the car. There might be other vehicles on the track at the same time - if you are lucky your driver will show you some awesome overtaking.

    Spectators

    Spectators are welcome, get them to bring a camera. Spectator facilities vary from circuit to circuit but are generally very good. Dogs aren't allowed at the circuits.

    Dress Code

    Wear trousers, a long-sleeved top and trainers or flat-soled shoes. A helmet will be provided.

    Cannot fault one part of the day! Was a present for Christmas, and what a present. Packaging was smart with a hard back trademark red envelope, that made it exciting to open. Booking with the card on the website couldn't have been easier, with a smart website. I got other experience day vouchers for Christmas and their websites were very poor in comparison. The day was amazing, looked after from the moment we got there although they spelled my name wrong. Wasn't a problem tho as they fixed it straight away so it was correct on my certificate. The ride was exactly what it said, HIGH SPEED. Friendly professional driver doing 130 mph round the track, throwing it into every corner. Best bit were the power slides on a moist track. I would definitely recommend to a friend and would definitely use Red Letter Days again. Thank you.

    Rockingham Race Circuit

    The minute I walked through the doors I was well looked after. The Lotus Elise is a beautiful ride, the driver handled her very well and kept asking if i was enjoying it, I was speechless, it was a terrific experience and one I will remember for ages, I intend to go back to Rockingham and try another experience.

    I couldn't believe just how fast we cornered and how late on the brakes we were - was an amazing experience to be driven round such a famous track in such an awesome car like this.

    Three Sisters Race Circuit

    Everything about this Red Letter Days event went smoothly, from finding the best location to arranging the date and time online, through to the day itself. And what a day it was! The staff at the Three Sisters Circuit were friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. But the best part is the ride - a racing Van Diemen, what a car. What a thrill to fly past the Ferraris on the track, sliding round the bends and hear the roar of the engine. Highly recommended!
