The Orient-Express British Pullman conjures up images of a more glamorous age - and of a more stylish approach to travelling. On this experience you'll find out just why the train has such a fabulous reputation, and revel in luxury and nostalgia en route to one of a number of historic destinations. Each unique carriage dates from the 1920s or 1930s and is staffed by liveried stewards. Your experience will begin in style, with brunch served on your outward journey. Choose a destination from some of Britain's finest towns and cities or historic attractions. On arrival you'll disembark for a walking tour, usually followed by some free time for exploring. On your return journey, relax and enjoy a glass of champagne and a three or four course meal with wine. The exact itinerary will depend on your choice of destination, but wherever you go we feel confident that you'll fall in love with this romantic train.

Absolutely Magical

The Orient Express was always a dream of mine and became reality when my fiance bought me a Red Letter Day to go on it. It was everything I'd dreamt it to be, and more. It was a day I will never forget and will always cherish. The staff were amazing, the food was out of this world and the train was magical as the lady who took us on our tour rightly said.

A memorable experience

The trip lived up to all expectations and beyond. Our Red Letter Day was eagerly anticipated. A trip on The Orient Express conjured up all the elegance of a bygone age with hints of mystery a la Agatha Christie. As it turned out our expectations were in many ways exceeded. The service was impeccable and there was indeed a mystery. The mystery of the 2 failed engines! What are the odds of both engines failing on the same day? Unfortunately we did not have the services of engineering's answer to Hercule Poirot, but the staff were fantastic and fed us with exquisite food and drink. In addition to this we now have the anticipation of a further trip as compensation. A memorable day!

Availability: Selected date/s are available from each location. Please book early to avoid disappointment; all booking is subject to limited running dates and availability.

Participant Guidelines: Minimum age is 16. If you'd prefer a vegetarian meal please let us know when you book a date. Smoking is not permitted on board. Only folding wheelchairs can be stored on board and some mobility is required both on the train and during your excursion.

Weather: The weather should not affect your experience, however please note that the train runs on the public rail network and is subject to any imposed delays (although this is one train that you won't mind being delayed on).

Duration: Most trips average around ten hours (depending on your choice of destination). You'll receive your tickets and a full itinerary shortly before your departure date.

Numbers On Day: There will be up to 26 passengers in your carriage. Most tables are for two, but the train also has tables for one, three and four. Table seating is allocated subject to availability on the day by the Orient-Express.

Dress Code: Smart casual daywear (no jeans or trainers). Please remember that for parts of your excursion you'll be outdoors.

Other Info: Flowers, caviar or champagne can be arranged with the Orient-Express at additional cost from their on-board gift range.
