Rally driving rocks. On this experience, you'll really get a feel for fast and furious driving in a rally car. Discover the secrets of causing and controlling a skid, the art of handbrake turns and power slides on special loose surface or tarmac rally stages, with expert tuition and plenty of rally driving practice. It's a real adrenaline rush keeping control of something so unmistakably wild. At some venues you'll also be chauffeured around a stage by your instructor at competition speeds, just to show you how it's done. The itinerary and the make of car you drive will vary from venue to venue, from a range which includes the ever popular rear-wheel-drive Ford Escort MKII, the Ford Focus or the Escort Cosworth.

Had An Excellent Time!

Amazing, my husband and I enjoyed every minute of it. The instructor was excellent and good fun, had lots of laughs and the passenger ride was brilliant. Recommended to anyone as it was worth every penny.

Brilliant Day And So Much Fun

I would recommend this Red Letter Day experience to anyone - it was so exciting. The instruction is brilliant and the tutors really make the day. The first time you manage a handbrake turn is just magic! It is very addictive and I didn't want the day to end. Most of the participants were only there for half a day but I would really recommend doing the whole day course. You get 3 sessions in the morning and another 3 in the afternoon. Each session lasts 5-10 minutes, depending on how fast you drive! Everybody had a wonderful 2 course lunch with refreshments available all day. The rally driving experience was so exciting and the tutors made it so much fun.

Exhilarating Experience

I was a little nervous to start with, but once I'd been round the track a few times my confidence doing powerslides and handbrake turns grew. I have not had an experience like it, it gave me an insight as to what rally driving was all about. I will readily do it again and again, the instructors were great, Martin and Tom, especially the last part of the day when they were co-drivers.

So That's What A Handbrake It Is For...

If you want a great day out that's a lot of fun while learning new skills I strongly recommend this experience. The professional drivers are excellent and make you feel very comfortable while helping you pick up the finer points of handbrake turns and powerslides. Within a very short time everyone on the course was happily chatting to each each other like old friends. The excellent food lunchtime and the flow of drinks all day added to making this a great event.

Thoroughly Enjoyed The Day, Had A Great Time

The whole day was great. I thought I was a pretty good driver (don't we all) until coming on this course. No doubt I have honed some new skills and can't wait until the next time I can put them to good use. The venue was fabulous, being right on the coast on a hill overlooking the sea. My instructor was brilliant and made the day memorable. We finished off with a high speed lap with the instructor showing just how it should be done. I would love to do it again.

You Have Created A Monster ...

A great day out trying something I have often talked about. Brilliant venue that took into consideration drivers of all abilities. Great staff and instructors who managed to get the best out of me (not an easy job). Thank you to all involved for making it a day to remember.

What A Fantastic Experience

The instructor took his time teaching me the basics of rallying, when we had tea breaks he drew me diagrams and gave in-depth explanations of how to approach corners, hand brake turns and power slides. An extremely enjoyable day and well worth the money. All the staff were very helpful and the lunch time meal was really good.

The Best Day I Have Had In A Very Long Time

The instructor was brilliant, couldn't fault him at all, he showed me lots of different ways of driving. I had loads of time driving four different vehicles, including left hand drives, then at the end the instructor took me round at professional speeds. The day was unforgettable.

Key Info

Availability: Selected weekdays and weekends throughout the year. Weekend dates are always busy; book at least four weeks in advance.

Participant Guidelines: Some venues have height and weight restrictions, please check when booking. You need a full current manual driving licence - bring it with you on the day.

Weather: Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions which would make driving at speed dangerous. Please call the venue if in any doubt.

Duration: Duration varies from venue to venue. As a guide, you'll be at the venue for between four and eight hours, including a briefing, tuition, driving time and debrief.

Numbers On Day: There will be up to six people in each group, depending on the location. During the driving bit, only you and the instructor will be in the vehicle.

Spectators: Spectators are welcome and will be able to watch varying amounts of the experience, depending on the location. Facilities vary from venue to venue.

Dress Code: Wear flat shoes which are comfortable for driving (chunky boots or trainers aren't recommended). Helmets will be provided, but feel free to bring your own.

Other Info: Lunch is not usually included.
