Rally Driving Experience

Rally driving was excellent - brief safety talk at the beginning, but then they take you to the course and it's straight into the drivers seat and away you go! You get three 20-30 min sessions going round the course with the driving instructor who tells you exactly what to do - I was terrible on the first go round, but by the last go, I was really getting the hang of it. They have a hut where you and the spectators can sit while you're not driving, and have a drink or something to eat and warm up, and outdoor picnic areas for sunnier days. I was very happy and would definitely go back again or recommend to a friend.

My wife and I received this experience from our son as a Christmas gift. We arrived a little late but were met with a smiling face. After checking in we were shown a short film and then taken to the race track where we were introduced to our instructors and fitted with our hair nets and helmets. Very cool!! Then it was Rally time. Straight out on the track where we were given instructions on how to handle the different bends, chicanes, handbrake turns and brake and acceleration control. This exceeded all our expectations. Instruction first class and great to be able to push the car to our own limits. Cars performed better than imagined. Never underestimate a Puma! Great day. We'd both love to do it again. One day we will.

The wet weather added to the slides and handbrake turns. The instructor was always encouraging and giving tips on how to improve. Thank you for the experience and thank you friends for the opportunity. Shame I can't be 30 again!!

It was a fantastic day, staff were great and it's every boy's dream to rally a Ford Escort mkII. We have booked to go back again for night time rallying. Thanks to everyone envolved.

Fantastic day! You think your instructor is mad when he's telling you to 'throttle, throttle, throttle' as you're going INTO bends only to experience real rallying conditions as the back of the car slews into line as you lift-off and then nail it back on as you exit the curve. Real thrills when you get it right, and the final trial run when it all comes together and you're perfecting the handbrake turns in the woods and in front of family and friends, makes you feel like a real rallyer! Awesome! We'll be recommending it to everyone and we'll be back soon!

The Ford Puma rally car was great and my co-driver and I had a great laugh as we went through the moves (handbrake turns, power slides and skids - what fun) and at the end being driven full pelt - that's fantastic! Many thanks to all the staff running it for making me feel welcome. Spectators were also able to pay to have a passenger ride and that made my daughter's day.

Fantastic day for petrol heads! Great time had, and would do it again in a heartbeat. Everybody there was very friendly, and took time to evaluate your strengths and weaknesses. The driving experience was such a rush, with a good ammount of time spent in the car.

I chose the Louth location, and am very glad I did!! From the outset, staff were so welcoming that everyone felt relaxed and briefings were concise. The cars aren't the prettiest, or as powerful as some venues, BUT this experience was all about throwing them around on a dirt/tarmac course without worrying about about the odd bit dropping off from an over-adventurous trip through some tyres! The instructor I had could not be faulted, and soon I was driving smoothly and quickly round the course. Unfortunately, on my timed run, red mist descended and I over drove, rearranging the tyres at the chicane and subsequently pointed the wrong way down the course. I received a well deserved penalty and a good ticking off! My second run was much better and the instructor was good humoured about my previous misdemeanors - the afternoon finished with a ride in the car driven by the instructor at competition speeds (Scandinavian flicks etc)! An amazing experience with plenty of hands-on with the cars!

An excellent experience. Really enjoyed attempting the tasks and very well supported by Tom the instructor. Very well briefed by Andy about each aspect, with appropriate humour. Driving the set task was exhilarating with the adrenalin pumping but very hard work, I ached for days after. I can thoroughly recommend this experience to anyone considering it. It was money well spent.

The afternoon rally driving course was brilliant. My instructor Chris was fantastic, lots of fun and didn't mind my screaming as we handbraked round the corners! We will be back but will do the full day next time as I know there is a faster race in me. Loved it!

This was the chance to experience driving a rally car, with an excellent tutor who put everyone at ease and ensured that you did learn how to do a handbrake turn and power slides properly and then have the chance to drive a short rally stage, all in a very short time.

I have the best day ever, Martin my driver was so good at instructing me and made me feel totally at ease. It is something I have wanted to do for years and it lived up to all my expectations. I loved it. Thanks to everyone for making my day so special.

My son, daughter and I were given this Red Letter Day as a Christmas present from my wife. We decided on the rally driving because we thought we would get more out of it and we were not disappointed. Andy and Tom the instructors were excellent. Very informative and easy to get on with. There was much more to it than we expected and it was certainly good value for money. So much so we may do it again.

Silverstone Rally School provided a very friendly welcome and the instructor was very helpful in teaching the rallying techniques. The Ford Escort Mk2 was extremely fun to drive and I would recommend this to any fan of rallying. It was a truly enjoyable day out!

It was a fantastic day and all the staff were so friendly. They really looked after you, made you feel safe in the car and just made the day extra special. I would definitely recommend it. Something I will never forget.

My husband and I went on the half day course and had a great time. There was just the right amount of driving and the instructors let you have enough free reign to be able to enjoy yourself but are careful to make sure you are driving the car to the best of your ability and aren't in any danger. The guys that ran this day worked really hard to make sure everyone was having fun and we certainly did.

From the moment we arrived to the very last lap, we were treated with true hospitality that is rarely seen these days. The instructors were friendly, gave sound advice, and seemed to enjoy the experience as much as I did! Great day, great people, great memories.

We enjoyed a superb afternoon's sport in a variety of well prepared cars, I think the best part was Chris ( the instructor) who was absolutely brilliant, telling me to 'GO ON; GIVE IT SOME!' as if I needed encouragement. Really good, really enjoyable, really ready to do it again soon.

If it wasn't for my lovely girlfriend Chloe buying me such an awesome gift for my 18th birthday, I wouldn't have been crowned the'Throttle Junkie'. It was a truly amazing experience of a lifetime, and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Many thanks for an excellent day out, will certainly be coming back again.

Well received by all the staff at Prestwold Hall driving centre. Had an absolutly wonderful experience which l would recommend to anyone. The tuition was great and the instructors were excellent and very patient which made the day. I have never driven like that before and it was an eye opener, even for an oldie like me! Thanks once again for a fantastic day.

The process of booking was so simple and on my arrival the staff of Vision Motorsport were really helpful. When I booked on the internet I was tempted to book at another location, being lured by the newer vehicles. No need for any concerns, the Pumas were more than up for the job, more than could be said for me. But, after the day's coaching I felt like I had got it, not perfect, but very ready to book some more days.

Exciting. Exhilarating. A great laugh for everyone taking part. Plenty to see and do after the event around the circuit as well.

After a short briefing I was in the drivers seat within minutes of getting to the track. I thought I got faster and faster with each drive - but then reality dawned as I finished the day in the passenger seat with a real rally driver - wow!!

This is an unforgettable day that you will remember forever. Handbrake turns and power slides made easy! The instructors are friendly, fun, patient and extremely knowledgeable. They make it look so easy and then teach you so well that it actually is easy - when you know how! I would thoroughly recommend this Red Letter Day to anyone - those who love driving and those that don't! Just remember to let your hair down and push that accelerator flat to the floor!

What a truly fantastic afternoon's fun. Great instructors - so calm and encouraging. Finished off the day in a rally prepared Mitsubishi Evo on wet tarmac, Yee Ha!!

I've thought about doing something like this for years. It was so worth it I'm going back, obviously I'd love to be in the car all day but the time you get is plenty to leave you buzzing all week. Such a laugh, thrill and rare experience. Nothing to be scared of either, really good, helpful and patient instructors, anyone could do it. Do rallying, not track I say!

The whole experience was excellent. Great briefing and then continuous tuition whilst in the car. I thought it would be a lot easier than it turned out to be but after the second 10 minute session I was feeling like a rally driver, well sort of! Brilliant fun and I would love to do this again.

I felt the day was extremely well organised and certainly great fun. I learnt so much in such a short time. All the instructors were friendly, helpful and approachable and my instructor was excellent. He was encouraging and enabled me to really develop a feel for the car.

It was only when we entered the Rally School complex and saw the Escort and Subaru Rally cars parked up that the nerve ends started to tingle and I realised that I really was about to have a lot of fun. The briefing was succinct and informative. Without delay I was first up with my instructor and he showed me what a rally prepared Escort Mark II could do - and it's pretty amazing. After a couple of adrenaline pumping laps as a passenger, I was strapped in to the driver's seat and it was my turn to burn some rubber and make some dust. You need quick and strong hands (no power steering) and 100% concentration as through the radio mic, the instructor taught me how to handle the car and the course. Each of my three sessions were quicker and more exciting and I left wanting more. A brilliant experience.

Good day out. Well organised. Excellent tutoring. Plenty of in-car time. Very enjoyable.

I was the 1 in 9 - the single woman taking part in the Introductory Rally Driving. I can still feel the same rush of adrenaline thinking about it as I did when I got behind the wheel for the first time! I didn't think I'd be able to smile for a whole 5 hours, but that's what I did and I'm still beaming now! Silverstone was small and friendly and the camaraderie began from the offset. With expert tuition beforehand and demonstrations, I felt in my element ... first handbrake turning, then power sliding across the pit. Not once did fear envelop and the encouragment and praise made my confidence soar. If you are considering taking the ladies' version - think again! There needs to be no worry in terms of how you'll fare amongst the gentlemen, as there are no judgments and no special treatment. For this reason, I would recommend this day to anyone - with a special word to you ladies out there - YOU GO GIRL!!!

Superb day of rally driving, the instructors were great, the course was brilliant and the weather even complied and made it just perfect.

The Rally Driving Experience was fantastic! I have recommended it to everyone I have spoken to since doing it!!

It was all smoothly coordinated, I liked the text to wish me enjoyment and the rally day itself was enjoyable.

I had the best day and experience for as long as I can remember. The knowledge that I gained, I know I can use in the future and the people we met were just great and very helpful. 100% pure fun.

I had such a fabulous day - the realisation of a lifelong ambition.
