Stanwell House Hotel
Beautiful period hotel in the heart of the town. Friendly, down to earth staff offering a warm welcome. Enjoyed the food in the seafood restaurant and found the smoked haddock breakfast to the same high standard. Would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a romantic stay.

Rudding Park
This is a lovely hotel. The gardens were spectacular, with azaleas and rhododendrons. All the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Carlos, who on hearing that my husband had a recent knee operation, took our luggage to the car and brought the car to the front entrance so that he didnt have to walk too far.

Sid Valley Country House Hotel
What an excellent find, the hotel is in beautiful surroundings in the middle of the countryside, yet close to the beaches of Sidmouth, Exmouth and that part of the coastline. Stephen and Sarah are to be commended on their welcome and facilities, nothing was too much trouble.

Every member of staff smiled and made us feel welcome. The hotel was everything you would hope for, clean elegant, in the middle of things yet quiet! Wish we could have stayed for longer.

The Ambassadors
The Ambassador Bloomsbury Hotel is a gem of a hotel.From the moment you walk in the door you are welcomed by all the staff who can not do enough for you to ensure a wonderful stay. The rooms are light, airy and very modern with nice touches such as bath robes, slippers and bottled water. The hotel restuarant and bar is great for relaxing and the food is of an excellen standard. I can only praise this hotel and have now stayed there twice and will be going back for more!!

Drakes of Brighton
I got this as a anniversary gift for my husband, the Hotel was lovely and ideally placed for shopping in Brighton. The staff couldn't do enough to help. The room was lovely and the bath in the room was awesome. The only thing I would say was we didn't get a room with a view of the sea, we had a brick wall and frosted windows. But all in all we had a lovely break.

Boscundle Manor
We had a lovely relaxing evening at Boscundle Manor and enjoyed the swimming pool and outdoor hot tub before a lovely meal in the restaurant. The special touches like canapes in the bar before the meal and friendly staff made us feel very welcome. We hope to be back sometime soon.

Drakes of Brighton
Myself and my partner had a really romantic break staying at Drakes of Brighton. The hotel is really contemporary and as it is small, feels exclusive. The service we experienced was exceptional, especially at breakfast and on arrival when the receptionist took time to point out place of interest and great places to eat on a map which became our bible! The rooms are modern if a little small, but the HUGE bath was a real highlight. I would highly recommend the hotel.

The hotel was beautiful, the hospitality from all those staff we came into contact with was fantastic. Would definitely recommend eating in their restaurant. We were provided with a free upgrade to a sea view room with Bath in the window! Fantastic. My only critisism would be that the rooms facing the front are extremely noisy at night.

The Queensberry Hotel
This Red Letter Day was given to us by our son and daughter in law as a thank you for all our help we gave them for there wedding. What a lovely hotel the setting was great the staff first class nothing to much trouble do yourself a favour book this hotel.

Stanwell House Hotel
Great escape from the rush & chaos of London. Staff were fantastic and food was brilliant along with the town. However 3pm check-in and 11am checkout is a bit tedious for a weekend break spanning only 1 day.

Drakes of Brighton
This is a really nice hotel that is perfectly located in Brighton town centre - a stone's throw from the pier and 5/10 mins walk from the city's quirky shops and restaurants. The staff were very friendly, polite and professional which can make a huge difference to how well you enjoy the stay. Breakfast was AMAZING and the pre-dinner cocktails are great too, although slightly too alcoholic(!) The only negative points were that the bathroom was a 'wet-room', with no seperate enclosure for the shower, which meant that everything gets drenched - fine if you shower before going out but not ideal if you want to shower before bed and the other half would like to use the bathroom within a couple of hours of the shower being on! The room was very warm (visited Feb 2012), even with the heating turned off. A dull whirring noise outside (not a sea-view room) meant leaving the window open wasn't an option. These points don't detract from this being a great hotel.

Peckforton Castle
After a minor mix up with the booking, we were given a free three course dinner there and a wonderful suite room! The castle and grounds are amazing, and I only wish we could have spent more time there! Excellent experience!
