The Oxford Thames Four Pillars Hotel
The Four Pillars is a beautiful hotel in beautiful grounds. The lounge area in reception sets the tone for the whole hotel. The restaurant was lovely and the food was delicious. We particulalry enjoyed the complimentary wine in our room! We would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Hempstead House
Hempstead House is a wonderful venue full of great family history. We stayed in the old house which was full of quirks - creaky floorboards and running pipes! Made very welcome by everyone we met. The menu was great and complimented by an excellent wine list.

The George Hotel
Good big room in a very quaint historic inn in a nice interesting town. Friendly staff. My dinner was OK (fish a little overdone); but my wife's Guinea Fowl was excellent. Should not serve cheese direct from the fridge and house wines could be better. Good breakfast with outstanding pastries. Overall a good place to stay.

Dial House Hotel
The whole experience was fantastic from the very start with welcoming hotel staff, excellent room and exquisite food. A location right in the middle of Bourton on the Water allowed easy access to all local attractions. We could not recommend it highly enough.

The George Hotel
We had a lovely time at the George Hotel. Our room, room 1, was huge and full of character. We were greeted with a lovely bottle of cava. There were bottles of water and biscuits and coffee etc.and a gorgeous teddy bear welcomed us. The room was very clean and well equiped. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal and breakfast. All the food was delicious and the choice was excellent. The wine provided with our meal was also very good. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant were lovely relaxing areas. We are not surprised that the restaurant has won awards as the food was excellent. We had a wonderful time and will recommend the George Hotel to our friends.

The Ambassadors
Hubby and I have just returned from our Red Letter Day given to us by our sons for Christmas. We had a wonderful time and stayed at the Ambassador Hotel in Bloomsbury. The hotel was really lovely - clean and very contemporary - and situated in a great part of London. The room was very comfortable with bathrobes, slippers and bottled water supplied and the bed was very comfortable. We had a delicious 3 course dinner and a bottle of Prosceco. The next morning we had an excellent full English breakfast and this was served with a choice from a very civilised time span of 7.30-11.00. We used the trip to go and see The Moustrap (now in it's 60th year - also very enjoyable). As we have reached the age when we own most things that we need, this Red Letter Day made an excellent gift for us and we were very impressed by the quality of the hotels and destinations on offer. I would highly recommend this as a gift for all ages but particularly for people 'of a certain' age who 'have everything'!

Sid Valley Country House Hotel
Great hotel in a stunning valley location. We had big room with large terrace/balcony overlooking the valley. Went for a 7am swim in the heated outdoor pool (in March!). Owners are very nice and friendly. Food was good home-style and unpretentious. A very relaxing break.

Nice room, but it did not have a view at all, even though it had a lot of windows. Staff were very attentive.
