The Marquis at Alkham is 100% class! Friendly and helpful staff. The room decor is modern style and fresh. Dinner is quality and served with lots of imagination. My son and his wife joined us for a memorable dinner in beautiful surroundings. Well done Red Letter Days on such a first class find.
Address Book Secret In Ipswich!
Ipswich wouldn't necessarily roll off the tongue of many of you when thinking of booking a weekend away. But that's until you've stayed at the fabulous Salthouse Harbour Hotel - what a discovery! The decor, the food, the rooms, the views - amazing all topped off with exemplary service. Go there and be very pleasantly surprised!
Really pleasant and helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble for them, superb food from breakfast thru to evening meal, rooms clean with all that you needed, my wife and I had a fantastic time there and would certainly go again.
Our stay at the Priory Bay was excellent. Lovely hotel, attentive staff and rooms spacious and excellent. A perfect retreat from our busy schedules. Restaurant was excellent with outstanding food also. What more could we ask for!
The Perfect Romantic Break!
I bought this as a suprise for my boyfriend for our anniversary and we were not disappointed! I made the decision to stay in Drakes Hotel in Brighton and it turned out to be the perfect choice for us- close to the shops and resturants and literally a minute's walk from the beach and pier. After reading several resturant reviews we chose the resturant at Drakes and it lived up to all expectations. The food was some if the best either of us have ever tasted and the restaurant had a great relaxed atmosphere. We're now saving to go back again in the summer! Thank you Drakes and Red Letter Days for an unforgettable experience!!
Very Relaxing Pre Christmas Break
Brooklands spa and retreat was excellent, very quiet due to snowy weather which made it all the more special for me and my wife.
Stayed at the Bermondsey Square Hotel in London - what a delight. Fab rooms, fantastic bathrooms, great food, wonderful service and what lovely staff - if only all hotels were like this.
The Fitzwilliam Hotel is a jewel in the Emerald Isle, the hotel was fantastic, the staff were extremely attentive and as for the restaurant, the Kevin Thornton menu was out of this world. If you want to be pampered then this is the weekend for you!
The Rothay Garden was a very nice hotel, with extremely helpful and courteous staff, who were on hand to help all the time. The room was nicely set overlooking the river and the tranquil surroundings. The restaurant food was exceptional and cannot be faulted, we definitely say this is a 'must do' break and the cuisine must be tried to appreciate how very very good it is.
The New Inn Hotel at Coln St Aldwyns is an absolutely lovely place to spend a couple of days relaxing, getting away from the hustle and bustle of work and urban life. The location is superb, very peaceful and I loved the fact that there was just one shop/post office in the village. The hotel is lovely, the staff are extremely welcoming and friendly, and the room was very impressive. We decided to eat in the bar both nights that we were there, as opposed to the main restaurant, mainly because the bar menu was more to our liking. The food was mouth watering, and that included the cooked breakfast. Plenty of places to go and visit nearby, including Cirencester which I would definitely recommend a visit. All in all, a lovely couple of days away in an idyllic location which I would recommend to anyone who wants to get away from it all.
Fantastic! Can't Wait To Go Back.
Wonderful hotel, fantastic location for restaurants and shops, beautifully designed rooms, warm and welcoming staff, food and service amazing, would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Brighton if they want a great experience. We look forward to returning shortly. Thank you Drakes Hotel and Red Letter Days for an unforgettable break!
A Great Weekend And Great Service
I thank the lady who attended to me as I called up with less than a week to our anniversary and she managed to book a weekend romantic escape for us at the Bermondsey Square Hotel in London that was very impressive, fun and relatively different to what we expected. Great customer service! Great weekend! Thanks to that lovely lady who not only tried hard to get me something, but even called back to make sure it was suitable.
Gorgeous Hotel, Fab Weekend!
The FitzWilliam in Belfast was a lovely hotel with very friendly staff. I thought the text message Red Letter Days sent the day before we left was a nice touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I too will be purchasing gift experiences for my family now.
We have just enjoyed 2 perfect days at the Rothay Garden Hotel in Grasmere. Lovely gardens, great hotel, really good staff and - amazingly - great weather! Highly recommended.
It Couldn't Have Been Better
For our two night romantic escape for two we choose to go to the Llety Bodfor at Aberdyfi. What a choice. On arrival we were greeted by Ann, who with her husband Gareth both own and run the 'Townhouse'. Immediately we knew this was going to be a lovely break. We were shown to our third floor 'superior double' room which had all the amenities one could ask for. And the view over the Dovey Estuary really has to be seen to be believed. Aberdyfi is a small but charming coastal resort with plenty to see or do in the area. It has several resturants, one of which, the Pharoah's Cellar Bistro, we particularily enjoyed. The Cambrian Coast railway is a good way to travel about the area. Try purchasing a Rover ticket. We used it to visit Harlech Castle and stop at several other resorts en route. Finally we have to mention the breakfasts at Llety Bodfor - a real treat.
The George at Cranford provided a first class weekend for our 40th wedding anniversary in delightful surroundings in a sympathetically modernised 14th century inn. The food was superb and the staff friendly and attentive without being familiar. We would happily recommend this inn to anyone wanting a quiet stay in the heart of the Kent countryside. Cranbrook itself is a fine, historic town with easy access to Tonbridge Wells, Tenterden, Sissinghurst and further afield to Rye and Hastings. A really enjoyable and relaxing experience.
Relaxing And Fun Break For Both Of Us
42 The Calls was easy to find and provided a warm welcome. All the staff were friendly and attentive. The rooms were comfortable, clean and stylish.
Wonderful Way To Celebrate Our Wedding Anniversary
The Rothay Garden Hotel was tremendous and more than met our expectations. The staff were pleasant and helpful in every way, and the food was quite superb. Exceptional value.
Really Friendly Stay In An Idyllic Location
We had a wonderful stay at the Rothay Garden hotel, Grasmere courtesy of Red Letter Days. The hotel itself was really nice, comfy bed, well equipped room and best of all a nice bottle of wine on arrival! Grasmere itself is a gorgeous wee village in the heart of Cumbria. It is so close to Windemere, Keswick and Kendal, so you can stock up on the mint cake. There is so much to do in 'the lakes', and the hotel had lots of tourism leaflets in reception and also some useful information within the room itself. We started both days with a hearty breakfast before setting off. The hotel itself is really close to the homes of Beatrix Potter and William Wordsworth both of which are set in picturesque gardens which add to the whole relaxing, 'away from it all' Cumbria experience. Would love to go back again and again!
Outstanding Value, Great Event
Hotel was superb, and in a nice area of London (Muswell Hill). Allowed my wife and me to do some lovely things in the City that we have wanted to do for some time. Organisation of the event was first class and all went off without a hitch. Hotel room was fantastic - only problem was that we only had 2 days there!
We had 2 nights at the Marwell Hotel, near Winchester. What's great that with Red Letter Days you get the best room there which is very nice and comfy! My wife and I really enjoyed our weekend there and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice break in England.
We can highly recommend Stoke Place. Fantastic staff and service.
Wonderful Hotel And Staff
We actually added to the Red Letter Day experience by bringing our children and extending our stay to 3 nights. Stanwell House Hotel is fantastic with great standards and lovely staff. Despite being a boutique hotel, it was really family friendly and the children loved it, especially the gardens. Our suite was great, and the seafood restaurant was wonderful. Special thanks to 'Super' Lucy who made the stay really memorable for the kids.
I would like to begin with a thank you, the Feversham Arms Hotel was absolutely fantastic! Cannot fault anything. Our room was spotless, staff were kind, friendly and made us feel very welcome, and the food - well it was to die for! I couldn't stay away long from the heated outdoor pool, even in the rain, it looks brilliant lit up in the evening. I also used some of the spa facilities, spending a lot of time in the hot tub, sauna, footspa etc! I would recommend this wonderful package and hotel to everyone possible. We will definitely return again within the near future, thank you all!!

Tired Parents Hit Paydirt
It's not often that hotels live up to their billing, but the newly refitted Rothay Gardens was just right. From the generous sized bathroom, gorgeous comfy bed, free water and proper cafetiere of coffee to the complimentary breakfast in bed with the Sunday papers. We arrived shattered and left pampered. But never mind the interiors, it's the exterior fabulousness that stays even longer. From the hotel door you can head straight out on some of England's most beautiful walks. The views are just breathtaking across the fells and lakes (and most importantly of all there's a large choice of cake shops on the journey back home to reward yourselves for all the hard work). We loved it.
Perfect Relaxing And Romantic Location
The Stanwell Hotel in Lymington was lovely. Comfortable and relaxed, the atmosphere was exactly what my wife and I wanted. Plus the hotel had two excellent restaurants and served a first class cooked breakfast. Close by to the traditional high street which had excellent shops, a stroll away from the quayside and only a short drive to the main New Forest towns. This location is perfectly suited to a relaxing and romantic weekend break. I would highly recommend it and look forward to returning there one day again soon.
How Easy Does It Get? Thanks Red Letter Days...
It was so simple to view and book. All I had to do was turn up and enjoy my 2 night romantic break. The hotel was lovely; the room was lovely; the food was lovely but the weather was awful! Oh well, something had to go wrong, didn't it?!
We were having trouble deciding which hotel to go for, but Red Letter Days were very helpful and gave all the options. We decidied on Bermondsey Square Hotel, which was unbelievable, hot tub on the roof with views overlooking London, need I say more??? Well done Red Letter Days!!
Most Relaxed Romantic Escape
We had a wonderful two night stay at The New Inn, Coln St Aldwyns. The hotel offers excellent service, really good bedrooms with fluffy towels, bathrobes etc., and really good breakfasts. We chose to have dinner in the restaurant on both nights (not included in price but worth paying for) - excellent food.
One Of The Best Hotels That I Have Stayed In
Staff were excellent - room upgrade was absolutely fantastic with good views and excellent facilities - one small grumble was catered for immediately and the response more than made up for it. Breakfast was leisurely and excellently presented. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, so much so that my wife and I are planning a return trip.
Good hotel, lovely area of London to stay in and a good location to see the sights as well as spend some time together.
Explored The New Forest Like Never Before!!
Received my Red Letter Day from work for five years service and decided to treat the wife. We both had a well deserved break in Stanwell House Lymington. Beautiful room with a bottle of wine waiting, lovely service and the food was excellent - the company wasn't bad either! I am recommending this to my work colleague who has just received his Red Letter Day. The reset button has been reset so thank you for a truly wonderful few days.
One Of The Best Stays In A Hotel I've Ever Had
I took the two night stay in Brighton for my Anniversary celebration and from the moment I got to the hotel and to the minute I left, I absolutely enjoyed the experience. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant has great food and the hotel is based in the perfect location. I would recommend anyone to stay there if they are looking for a relaying and enjoyable break.
Quiet, Relaxing Getaway Break
Really enjoyable experience. Hotel wonderful, very relaxed atmosphere, top marks for cleanliness. Food a delight. Scenery breathtaking. Would recommend this break to anyone who is looking for a quiet relaxing getaway break. The Rothay Garden Hotel is situated ideally for sightseeing, and interesting walks. 10 out 10 on all aspects.
Perfect Two Night Get Away!
The whole Red Letter Day experience has been wonderful! Had much fun choosing from the wide variety of options available, and in the end the 2 night escape looked the perfect option. I was not disappointed. We spent two blissful nights in gorgeous Yorkshire countryside, with a lovely log fire to return to each evening. The service was impeccable, and the Yorkshire breakfasts scrumptiously yummy. Would highly recommend the 2 night romantic escape to anyone!
Had a fantastic time, staff at the hotel were very friendly and very helpful. Hotel was wonderful and we were looked after very well. My girlfriend and I would recommend the romantic weekend for two to anybody. Will definitely be doing this again.
Amazing Valentine's Weekend!
Romantic weekend in a beautiful countryside and lovely Inn, Olde Bell. Perfect area for long walks by the river Thames. Great service, cozy atmosphere, friendly staff and superb food made it an unforgettable experience. Strongly recommended. Will definitely go back!
Relaxing And Romantic Getaway
Stanwell House in Lymington was the perfect location for a relaxed weekend to celebrate our anniversary. Whilst the weather outside was cold and wet, the hotel was warm, cosy and welcoming. We were particularly taken with the delicious smoothie selection, and the wonderful tasting menu in the restaurant. There were some lovely touches such as the Molton Brown products in the bathroom, and free white chocolate with strawberries which we found on our bed when we arrived. I would highly recommend Stanwell House.
