    Highgate House

From the time we got there the whole experience was great, staff were all polite and professional facilities are top standard. The room we had was in the old original part of the building. Would like to thank all staff on making our stay special.

    The Waterhead Hotel

The torrential rain & high wind made the stroll up the old man of Coniston in April a bit of a challenge - but the welcome in the WaterHead, warm room, hot shower, excellent diner and a view out to the mountain in the clear the following morning made for an excellent visit

    Tortworth Court

We were given this weekend by our son and daughter-in-law on their wedding day. We love going to National Trust properties and to actually stay in a mansion like this was like stepping back in time. A Downton Abbey experience, expected to see Maggie Smith at any time.

The weekend was to celebrate our Aunt and Uncle's Diamond Wedding. We were treated like royalty. The 'little extras' given by the staff made their weekend extra special. At dinner the candle on the table replaced by a candleabra, a complimentary glass of champagne and the little touches on their sweet plus the cheerfulness of the waitresees and maitre d helped make it a weekend to remember.

The hotel is conveniently remote in a peaceful and picturesque part of Central Devon. Service, accommodation and food excellent, complemented by friendly and efficient staff. Just the place for a quiet break.

Mercure Shrewsbury Albrighton Hall Hotel and Spa

Our family have just returned from an overnight stay at Albrighton Hall. We were housed in the Schoolmasters house, separate from the main hotel, in two lovely rooms. Very clean and modern. We spent a couple of hours outside on the lawn area, with a drink from the bar whilst our two children played ball by the lake. My husband and two sons enjoyed the pool and the gym before we went to dinner. All our meals were lovely and we had a very enjoyable evening. The next morning, after another workout in the gym, we had a delicious breakfast. Throughout our short stay the staff were professional and attentive and were lovely with the children. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Mercure Aberdeen Ardoe House Hotel and Spa

My (now) fiance and I enjoyed a lovely nights stay at Ardoe House. Nice spacious comfortable room, excellent meal followed by an unforgettable moment as we walked round the beautiful grounds where my boyfriend popped the question! My Red Letter Day gift was from my best friend who now lives in Australia and who I've not seen for quite a number of years now so it was great that although she wasn't here to share in our celebrations it still felt like she was part of it. It was an evening I'm sure I'll remember for the rest of my life.

    The Millers Arms

The Millers Arms is a great old pub, we had a beautiful room with huge windows and 4 poster bed, really comfortable. The evening meal and breakfast service were both excellent as was the choice and standard of the food. Canterbury is a lovely old town with loads of modern & antique shops, coffee bars, bistros, tiny back lanes to explore and parkland, something for everyone!

Mercure Shrewsbury Albrighton Hall Hotel and Spa

We visited on 17th March and had a truly wonderful stay. From the minute we arrived the hotel and grounds had the WOW factor. Entering the hotel, we were greeted by a smiling and extremely friendly and helpful Cass on reception. We were a bit early but there was no problem with us checking in. The room was amazing - peaceful spacious and tastefully decorated. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff we saw. The Spa facilities were lovely - book in for a treatment if you can - my facial from Sammy was very relaxing and enjoyable. Plenty of choice for the evening meal - the Lamb Rump was delicious and served by more friendly helpful staff. Breakfast was the same experience - the food was all hot and fresh. Overall a very relaxing, and pampering stay. If you get the chance to go into Shrewsbury visit Romolo Italian Restaurant down by the river for lunch - truly the best Italian we have ever had.

    Absoloutely Fabulous!!

    Heacham Manor

A charming hotel, set in beautiful surroundings. The room was delightful and had everything you would need and expect. The staff were friendly and helpful and nothing was to much. The food was excellent, well presented and thoroughly enjoyable. The staff do not pester you to buy more drinks, but do just enough to make sure you have everything you need without being obtrusive. If you want a nice relaxing break this is the place to visit, and I will definitely be returning.
