Excellent afternoon tea: scrumptious food in wonderful surroundings - only surpassed by the first class attendance of the lovely Gavin! I wish I could have brought him home with me! Didn't stay at the B & B but I'm sure it would have been exquisite.

Ruthin Castle
Great venue, superb food and excellent service - would thoroughly recommend. Even the peacocks displayed for us outside the window with the extra bonus of seeing the peahen and her chicks. The grounds, buildings and ruins are wonderful to explore and we have some great photos to remind us of the day.
Superb Spread!

Browns Hotel
The venue was very comfortable and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. As for the afternoon tea itself - wow - a very lovely 3 tier plate of finger sandwiches, - the ham and mustard was perfect!! Only disappointment was no cucumber or hardboiled egg and mayonaise which are the traditional fillings - otherwise perfect

The Crooked House at Windsor
After three wonderful hours we came out of the Castle and limped in to a very crooked house to be met by smiles, a table, menus and very quickly a beautifully presented and delicious tea. Delightful dainty sandwiches, light and fluffy scones with, yes it has to be said, lashings! of cream and jam. The fruit cake was a triumph of the baker's art and the grapes welcome. All washed down with a huge choice of top of the range teas and coffees. After quite a long time we emerged into the High Street refreshed, relaxed and a little too full.
Nice Afternoon - Nice Atmosphere

The Old Swan
Not the most modern of decor or appearance, but then, it fits with a bygone era of afternoon tea. The food was excellent, the tea was real tea (complete with strainer) and the service was at a pace with which we were quite happy.

It was an absolutely fantastic day, helped by the fact the weather was really hot so we were able to sit outside on the decked area. We took our time to eat our afternoon tea; and took time to relax also time to take in the perfect setting of the hotel. We eventually left around 3 hours later. The tea was tasty, plentiful, and nothing was too much trouble, even supplying us with freshly brewed tea half way through our eating. Highly recommended.

We had a really delicious afternoon tea on our 37th wedding anniversary, looking out onto the gardens in warm sunshine. A glass of sparkling wine was the "icing on the cake".

The Crowne Plaza Hotel Marlow
Lovely setting, sun shining so able to sit outside with view of Lake. Staff very welcoming. Nicely presented with good selection of sandwiches. However, SELECTION of CAKES AND PASTRIES consisted of 2 very similar cakes each, both of the same choice. Having said that, I guess it saved any arguments and there was certainly enough to eat. The only disappointment was that the tea was a TEA BAG, not premium loose tea as described. Also there was no pot of hot water for a top up if required, however, this was provided upon request. I expected that for Peppermint but my husband had Earl Grey! Glass of Prosecco added a nice touch. All in all a lovely afternoon, happy with the choice we made. Thank You.

Sat in a large conservatory on a sunny afternoon, enjoying our afternoon tea. The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful with a comfy sofa or chair to lounge in. A brilliant selection of tea time treats, this was our first and we will treat ourselves again.
