What could be more quintessentially British than a delicious afternoon tea served in charming surroundings? Give in to tea and cake cravings at one of a range of hand-picked venues, including charming hotel restaurants and lounges. What's included will vary according to the location chosen - for example be served a traditional English cream tea, a tea with finger sandwiches and homemade cakes, fancy pastries and champagne, or cakes and cocktails, and some venues offer the experience for more than two people. Whichever it is, find the perfect spot to relax on any occasion from Mother's Day to 40th birthday celebrations, and indulge and while away an afternoon. Tuck in!
Bookings are offered seven days a week at most venues (bear in mind that hotel venues can be much busier during summer months).
Everyone is welcome, but at least one guest must be an adult (18 or over).
Tea is served in the afternoon, usually between 11am and 6pm.
The majority of venues offer this experience for two people, although there are options included within our range for three and for four.
Most hotels request smart casual dress.
Beautiful day from start to finish, nothing was to much trouble and we enjoyed the stunning venue and setting.
Perfect setting for a really relaxed afternoon tea. Beautiful view over the parkland from our table. Service was impeccable - quiet, unobtrusive and courteous. Food was absolutely delicious and more than adequate. The pick of the crop was the cream horn packed with fresh dairy cream. I can't remember the last time I had one of these - probably too long ago to admit to if I'm honest. Overall a really memorable afternoon - and one to be repeated - again...and again...and again.
Tea, sandwiches and cake all lovey. Best of all were the cinnamon scones with cream and lemon curd. I did get earl grey tea instead of decaf for the first pot but it was lovely anyway.
The tea was delicious, served by friendly efficient staff in a pretty tea room

We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea for two. Full marks to the staff for looking after us so well.
Fantastic 16th century Grade 2 listed farmhouse serving specialised tea and coffee, finger sandwiches, scones with cream and strawberry jam plus a good choice of cakes. All served by a very friendly waitress named Shelley.
Fantastic afternoon tea experience, with a lovely selection of freshly cut sandwiches, with an assortment of fillings, plus the addition of beautiful homemade delicacies, including the best scones I think I have ever tasted. It was a lovely sunny day, so we were able to take advantage and eat in the very pretty garden. Although just a stones throw from the hustle and bustle of the centre of Bourton on the Water, a delight in itself, the garden was blissfully quiet. The staff were all friendly and attentive, without being obtrusive. We would thoroughly recommend this experience.
Great location, wonderful and caring staff would recommend to anyone.
The afternoon teas was very enjoyable, very good quality and good value
It was lovely weather ,so we sat outside on a sunny terrace with stunning views, watching a kingfisher on the river nearby. The waitress was very friendly and helpful.and we were served with a lovely afternoon tea.,much of which was homemade and very tasty. The staff were very helpful and we would certainly go again.
