You'll get expert instruction on safety and underwater mobility techniques, then you'll learn how to breathe underwater and achieve weightlessness while getting used to the equipment. Courses take place in swimming pools under controlled conditions - and while it might seem a long way from diving in a tropical ocean, it's the perfect way to get a basic grounding in diving and find out whether you like it. It's also ideal for anyone considering taking a PADI Open Water Diving Course.

We're off to Egypt in the summer and wanted to see if Scuba Diving is for us (instead of just snorkelling) and it definitely is!! The staff were great with all the family (wife, 17, 16 & 11 years olds) and encouraged throughout. The intro was good and necessary but very soon we're in the pool scuba diving. It's odd, but everyone got to grips with it and we''re all definitely going to do it in Egypt now! Would definitely recommend the experience to anyone else, in fact I have already to anyone who will listen.

The experience gave an excellent introduction to scuba diving. The instructor was very informative, enthusiastic and helpful. As a trainee instructor was shadowing we ended up having 1 to 1. If you love snorkelling then then this is the natural next step. I think my partner and I now hooked and thinking about planning a scuba holiday.

My husband and I went Scuba diving in Chiswick as part of my 40th birthday celebrations. It was brilliant, I can't recommend it enough. We had a great instructor who was very thorough but kept things fun. The time in the pool was amazing, if not a little scary for those who are old enough to remember jaws! I would do it again tomorrow without hesitation you must try it.

My fiancee and I had a fantastic SCUBA diving experience. Out in Chiswick (West London - easy to get to) we went to the London School of Diving, where they had their own heated pool, great facilities and fantastic staff. So we had a tutorial, then got familiar with all the kit, and jumped in! Came up and down quite a bit at first, and at the end we had about 15? underwater non-stop, flapping around with big flippers and playing some underwater Frisbee and catch. Brilliant fun, and a very odd experience not holding your breath underwater, not panicking etc? We're looking to do our PADI course now - we had such a fun time!

Having never scuba dived before, I was a little nervous, however the instructor was brilliant and made me feel at ease the whole time. My boyfriend and I had an amazing experience and we can't wait to do more scuba diving!

Scuba is something that has always looked like something I would enjoy but I didn't realise how much I would like it until I tried the scuba experience in Southampton. The two of us had an instructor to ourselves and we had dedicated training in how to use the equipment. After doing this I'm looking at pursuing a course in scuba to gain a qualification. Lots and lots of fun!

This experience was a fun and informative introduction to scuba diving. The instructor was friendly and clearly answered all questions. The swimming pool was nice and warm, which was a welcome relief from the cold winter weather. Surprisingly, there was some wildlife to see while diving, though unfortunately only of the plastic shark variety! Perhaps my next experience will involve real sharks...

Yesterday my partner and I went for our first scuba diving experience and it was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived I was extremely impressed with the London based centre and the service we received. There were two trained professionals who really catered for everyone's needs on an individual basis. I was quite nervous beforehand as I am not a confident swimmer, but the trainer really looked after me, took it at a pace I was comfortable with and was very encouraging. My partner however took to it like a fish to water so he was given the opportunity to be much more independent. The facilities were excellent. The pool was ideal to start learning in as it had a shallow end which was 1m deep to practice the techniques and then a larger section which was 3m deep. I would absolutely recommend this opportunity to everyone, even if you are not 100% confident in the water! Thank you for a brilliant experience Red Letter Days!

The environment was so safe and the instructors were very professional. My nephew and his friend were a little anxious to start but had the time of their lives. A big thank you to all, they both said it was 'mustard' - whatever that means!?!

I bought my son a scuba diving experience for his 18th and decided to join him and we both were not disappointed. On arriving at the London Diving School we where warmly welcomed and even had a cup of tea made for us, then we where introduced to our instructor who was a very nice Egyptian gentleman who was very knowledgable and who also calmed any nerves we had. The actual dive was amazing and being underwater for approx 40 mins just messes with your mind, my son and I are now looking to do our padi course next year so thank you Red Letter Days and I would not hesitate to use your services again.

    Scuba Diving for Two

It was the very first time I have gone diving. Did not expect much as it was just going to be an introduction. But I was very wrong. Just had a fab time. I would recommend it for anyone who loves water. I wish I had the time to do open water! I would love to see the extraordinary sea life some day. The instructor was very cool and the London Diving School was easy to find and everyone over there was very friendly.

    Scuba Diving for Two

An absolutely fantastic experience that we will never forget. The experience was so much better than expected and was made so simple and easy to understand by the very knowledgable trainers. We were swimming around in the deep end in no time. This has really inspired us both to take up diving and I would recommend this discovery dive to anyone wanting to find out if it's for them before paying out all the money for a full course. The facilities were great and well managed - kept very clean as well!! Thank you Red Letter Days for making booking this brilliant experience so quick and easy.

    Scuba Diving for Two

The session was very well organised, there was little waiting around. The instructors had us straight in the water with the kit on very quickly and it wasn't long before we were swimming in the deep end experiencing it for ourselves! You could go at your own pace, ask as many questions as needed. The instructors were very approachable and clear with the instructions. Would highly recommend it, I want to go back again and I only went last night!!!

    Scuba Diving for Two

The staff at the diving centre were friendly and informative. I felt totally at ease and trusted their guidance, it was in a controlled pool with experienced divers. This is something I wanted to try for sometime but did not know who to contact. Red letter Days makes dreams come true, and I have found in the past that they give options which are interesting, and were not at first thought possible.

The instructors were loads of fun and made us feel at ease. The whole experience was amazing - so relaxing and not at all scary. Playing frisbee underwater and doing somersaults was something I'd never thought I'd do!
